In reply to: 404 error page on most buddypress links
What is your theme? Custom or Default?
In reply to: Texarea SizeThe textbox is overlapping the content, and the css class is “hidden” so you need to go into your theme’s css and edit the styles:
`div.activity-comments form .ac-textarea {
padding: 8px;
border: 1px inset #ccc;
background: #fff;
margin-bottom: 10px;
-moz-border-radius: 3px;
-webkit-border-radius: 3px;
border-radius: 3px;`In reply to: Forums Posting Problems: The definitive postUm, reinstalling wordpress is not necessary. This is an issue with your Database Connection, not connecting properly, changing your DB psw in your bb-config.php can trigger this to happen.
Well I can’t say the exact page, being a possible CSS problem, or a template problem.
Did you recently modify any files?
Either your content wrapper is overlapping your sidebar, or you have a missing <div tag in your template.
In reply to: Registration doesn’t workTo give you the entire picture of what happens when you register, or do anything else, go to Buddypress Test Drive. http://testbp.org.
Register, and you an experience everything it says and does for your site.
On the email subject, Buddypress email are actually wired around WordPress emails. In the very most likely case, the email is at a snails pace, and either ends up at the spam folder, or just takes along time to receive. This pace on which the emails get received will fluctuate, depending on the activity on the site. My emails on my site take a couple minutes to receive, Only because I am on my on server, there is nothing you can really do to speed up the emails, because you are on a host server, multiple servers. Emails taking 20-30 minutes is actually pretty good, compared to most, like on bluehost, which can take up to an hour and a half!
In reply to: Registration doesn’t workUsers have to activate their account via email before they are listed in the admin.
Your registration is normal, there are no error messages
, I created a test account.In reply to: Registration doesn’t workWhat problem? There is no problem really that I see with anything, data is yes, correctly entered.
In reply to: Registration doesn’t workhttp://oldhd.rckelsey.com/register, yes. Correct URL.
Are you by any chance wanting to change it to “registration”?
In reply to: Registration doesn’t workSeems working to me!

In wordpress general settings, in the timezone, scroll all the way down to the “manual offsets”, and set it to UCT-7
In reply to: How to stop users from creating groups?haha! 😆
In reply to: “My Account” menus do not workThanks for supplying the information! It really helps us a-lot when trying to figure out your issue

The “customizable permalinks v 1.0 is the culprit!” temporarily de-activate it so see if it fixes it.
@hnla, and @xberserker, I figured out the culprit to this, but I am not sure why it does not take until 1.2.6 to happen.
The double button is because you have called 2 stylesheets from the same buddypress default.css. The most common mistake is the css from the bp template pack being applied, and than calling the same css from the bp-themes/bp-default/css/default.css. You need to remove one, and it should solve the double button issue.
In reply to: Contributors Publishing PostsEh, since this isn’t really a problem with the buddypress software… upgrading bp is not mandatory. But it is encouraged. Upgrading bp fixes bugs for you, and your users you didn’t even know existed!
Especially if your still at 1.2.3. Eeek!Upgrading your wp is more important, and I would strongly recommend you do, as it could fix your issue ^^ above, as well as security updates and other critical things.

In reply to: New Buddypress site: searching for some pluginsThere are some neato hacks for forums at etivite http://etivite.com/groups/buddypress/hacks-and-tips/

Don’t just paste your header.php, it’s useless and alters the page layout, as you can see

First of all, what is wrong with the multi level navigation? It should guide you through everything you need.
Second thing, is this is not the support forum you need for your issue. This is a buddypress plugin support forum, so I would recommend you go to your theme’s support forum and get nav support there.
The sub nav does not just involve html, as well as css, if your theme does not support navigation at all.
In reply to: disable secondary avatarCan someone tell me how to disable/remove the secondary avatar from the activity.
Secondary Avatar? Not quite comprehending. The avatar for activity altogether?
In reply to: dropdown css and forum importGlad it worked, we are all waiting for the bb-plugin to release!

This is as simple as a nav plugin, I would recommend the Multi Level Navigation Plugin.
You can also achieve putting those contents in your admin bar, such as Networks with a dropdown of Member and Groups along side the “My Account” as an example
Are you talking about the navigation menu?
Be a little more specific on your issue
