Are you not capable of looking for these plugins yourself?
In reply to: Edit CSS of edit profile groups section.Should be:
`ul.button-nav li {
background-color: #fff;`In reply to: Need Help In increasing header widthFew things for posting on this forum.
When you ask for support, it would be best for you to provide as *much* information as possible to help us out. Posting just one sentence does not give us any information on anything, and would most likely diminish your chances of getting support, and it will delay solving your issue.
If you don’t say what theme your using, I am going to assume that it’s not a buddypress issue, and redirect you to the wordpress support forums: https://www.wordpress.org/support
if you are using default theme, look at the header and specify your preferences there.
`#header {
width: 960px;`In reply to: Login with Linkedin?Well what you would be looking and searching for is a “Linkedin and WordPress Connection” , because Buddypress Login is actually WordPress.
It would require for you to do some searching around to see if a plugin exists. It does not look like it though at the moment.
In reply to: Block replies in forumYou need to specify more on what you are trying to do.
but block replies from members through the forum (I want them to reply using the messaging system)
Create topic, but then not have users to reply?
In reply to: Searching the Codex is brokenHow about instead of just going to the forums to ask a simple question, you research it first? Always research before you ask on here, because 99% of the time, the question has already been answered in the past.
Please just add comments if you’re actually adding information (signal vs. noise) to help this Forum be a better place for everyone
Hnla was giving you a hint, and elbow nudge to search on google for your answer, not be “snarky”. Sorry you couldn’t comprehend was was being given to you

From my knowledge, buddypress does not add ANY more roles to wordpress. SO, wordpress codex would be the place to go to learn about roles, and Paul Gibbs would give you the same exact answer.
He seems to be someone who should know the answers.
Boy, I could actually hear the slap in the face.
*Also, I am pretty sure it’s not compatible with current wp/bp versions.
I tested the documents plugin in buddypress 1.2.5 and it was not compatible!
In reply to: how to disable comment on activity typeTo change the size of header avatar, you will need to go and change it in your CSS.
`div#item-header ul img.avatar, div#item-header ul.avatars img.avatar {
width: 30px;
height: 30px;`adjust to whatever.
In reply to: Login with Linkedin?In reply to: How to detect if a plugin installed or not?You can always avoid an error with this statement:
“
Put the function between the ”, if the function does exist, it will appear, if it doesn’t, it will just simply do nothing.
Are they enabled in the buddypress Admin Section?
In reply to: how to echo a custom field<?php echoIn reply to: May implement a Town Index with buddypress.org?Buddypress 1.3 will have options to create more of a category interface in it, like buddypress.org you see here.
Stay tuned!
In reply to: ERROR: There was an error when creating the topic*he*
In reply to: Buddypress links are broken after fresh installPlease don’t bump more than every 24 hours 😆

If your permalinks are redirecting to homepage, this is because it has nowhere else to go than the homepage, because it does not exist/not in the right location.
-Do you have template pack installed?
-Are you using custom theme, and do you have a child theme?You guys have changed/ and or added a function that most likely has any extra space in the file.
I have most commonly seen Headers already Sent out by an extra space in the file. I would recommend copy and pasting the original file from buddypress into the one that you have changed to ensure there are no spaces.
In reply to: [Resolved] Putting a forum on buddypressGlad we could help you!
In reply to: [Resolved] Buddypress not working,Thank you for providing us with the support questions!
it really helps us solve your issue.Since you say that the links redirect to the homepage, it means the files are not there/not in the right place.
Do you have a child theme, or buddypress template pack installed? Or do you have default theme?
In reply to: Facebook like for BuddyPressDo you Need all the features that facebook offers? This plugin is just about the closest you will get, and I am pretty sure their next update will mimic facebook like features:
You can have an alternate color of whatever you want in your theme via css, with this simple css rule:
` tr.alt { background-color: #f4f4f4; } `
Since your using the buddypress default theme, you will add this rule under the:
`/* > WordPress Blog Comment Styles
*/` to something like:`#comments ol.commentlist tr.alt {
background-color: #f4f4f4;
}`In reply to: ERROR: There was an error when creating the topicWell, @hnla might be more insulted when you call that “silly” since she was the one who provided that solution that worked for many people.
Have you changed your database info ever? Changing database info can cause this to happen.
ping @djpaul
But just to help us out… what versions of wp/bp are you using?
In reply to: Missing Site Admin tab1st one Sounds like a wordpress issue: https://wordpress.org/support/
Second issue is already on the trac: https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/3098 will be fixed for 1.3
