BuddyPress.org

As far as I know, unregistered users have an ID of 0. An ID is necessary to send the message so if unregistered users will all be seen as the same person by BuddyPress. So to answer your question, I don’t think it’s possible

Hi @netweb – do @-mentions count towards the link quota? If so, then the current maximum of 2 seems too low. Else, I agree that 2 seems perfectly reasonable for non-moderators (and that any limit at all for moderators seems unnecessary).

Can you also provide a list of the rest of the plugins you’re running? I’ve used BP, s2member and RT Media (not all together I should add) and haven’t experienced memory issues. There could be something else going on so it’s worth having a list of everything you’re running

I wanted to look at the page source to see what image file your theme uses. I can’t see that from the screenshot.

Instead of using messages_new_message() to send a private message, you’d use bp_activity_post_update() to post an activity update. Note that the function accepts different arguments so you’ll need to amend those.

Most likely this is because your theme is displaying an enlarged version of a tiny image.

As far as I know, you’ll need to edit your theme’s templates to make sure the link destination changes. i.e. there’s no easy way of doing this globally via something like functions.php
