@hkcharlie
Once upon a time @modemlooper had a plugin that would do this but he removed it from the repository. The only downside was it did not give any options to order the nav item. It just added a profile nav item at the end of the other nav items. I have no clue if he has this available anywhere on the net. Sorry! -

@hkcharlie You can still use the old method from the front end, no problem. Know that there have been a lot of improvements in upcoming BP 1.8.

Zippykid.com is outstanding. After you vet them, you will probably arrive at the same conclusion. Tell them your situation, your concerns and they’ll give it to you straight up.

@johnny2011, @4ella, @studio8c, etc. The newest release has a true tree view from the Group Tree page. Pleas give it a try and see if it improves things for you. @hkcharlie: Can you provide any details on this problem? For example: are you seeing something else where the Group Tree should be, or seeing the top-level groups but are […]

@hkcharlie You are in the right forum. BP-Album+ should deactivate sitewide when you deactivate it on the admin menu. It is possible there is a defect in our code related to the recent large changes that were made to WordPress and BuddyPress. Regardless, you can completely remove it by deleting the bp-album folder from your plugins […]

Hi @rossagrant, @r-a-y & @hkcharlie, Thanks for the good question. So, there are three separate questions here that are slightly but significantly different, and often get merged into one. First: ‘Can people upload malicious things?’ Yes. Say I have a file MyVirus.exe. I can rename it to MyVirus.exe.txt, and upload it to the site. Adding a MIME…[Read more]

@djpaul: how so? I thought the count for “All Blogs” in the menu bar would just be off however many blogs you hid (which doesn’t bug me since it’s only 2 in my case)? @hkcharlie: does that affect people viewing it at all? I needed to hide my main site and the search blog that was created […]

@hkcharlie – You do not have to create subdirectory nor upload bbPress to get the BP group forums going, Go to dashboard – BuddyPress > Forums Setup – and install by following instructions. bb-config.php will be automatically generated.
