What was the outcome when you swapped to a standard WP theme such as twentyfourteen?

Does your install work work period in regards BP, not sure about that rather non standard server path where you have plugins under /themes/x/framework/functions/plugins/buddypress.php – to my mind that should not be working.

You do need to pass this to the theme author as it’s theme related and have them look into it. I would have done that while waiting on any other responses 🙂 it’s not really that easy for us to fix without seeing your theme files.

members/last_activity are not the records you’re looking for you should have entries for activity/activity_update in reference to blog comments.

There must be a setting throwing things out, can’t understand how a a fresh install would also have this same issue.

What server / db are you running? Are basics like permalinks all ok and set?

Ran some quick tests on trunk and can’t find any issues, I can comment on post, displays in activity stream, comment on activity stream entry and it syncs back to actual post, commnet in a nested style comment on comment and those work in same manner as well.

Yep you’re meant to be able to see pages like that and like activity stream, BP is not intended on being a private community out of the box, securing pages is pretty easy though; try searching the forum please as it’s been discussed many many times.

Is this a site under development? if it is do get rid of that caching plugin, even if it isn’t disable/clear cache while attempting to track issues down.

Please contact your host, about server user permissions this isn’t a buddypress or application issue. You could try logging into your hosting account and cpanel or similar control panel and perhaps trying this from whatever file editor it provides.
