Why on earth would anything say delete bp-default!!?? I would disregard that video and refer to the official docs here only.

Download a fresh copy of BP to get back bp-default.

Likely you have BP templates copied over from the template pack attempt still in your theme if so remove them so that the theme has no BP templates in it at all then see how BP theme compat looks like with the theme. If/when you need to modify any BP templates check the codex for guides on how to do this.

? Why are you wanting to do this? What is wrong with the aria roles? Are you saying you want all those elements to have a landmark role ‘main’?

All BP templates are over-loadable (copyable) to your theme where you may edit them, refer to the codex for guides on how to do this.

Not necessarily related, well in a sense 🙂 but John is lead dev for both projects, and although you say it’s BP related as ‘groups’ related I think the problem and fix probably does rest with how bbp is handling things ( could well be wrong though).

You have raised this on bbpress support and John has responded so let that thread run.

The docs can always take improvement, and I think no one involved with them would claim they are anywhere close to covering all that’s required, but writing them can be very time consuming . The theme compat ones that exist, I thought pretty much covered the detail necessary, but as in all things can always stand reviewing and improving.

well ‘community’ always did exist as a location but it’s preference I guess, personally I like ‘community’ as it denotes what the directory is for but it’s half a dozen of one six of the other.

Was planning to update those template compat codex pages to include mention of this.

The correct way is to sort out your email zone records, reverse PTR records, SPF records etc this is not a BP issue I’m afraid, nor a WP one.

As of 1.8 you should be able to locate the file in /my-theme/community/css/ or /my-theme/buddypress/css/

Did you check all directories under /bp-legacy/buddypress/ ? The template files do exist.
