  • Yay got it to work. I was worried because I kept getting 500 errors when trying to install and was unsure that it would run alone in a sub directory since it is supposed to run in the root.

Thanks for not letting me give up on it guys. Best support team evar! All the upvotes and such. :D

    IT WORKS! :D

increased memory settings, now get Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_get_activity_slug() in /hsphere/local/home/c360397/huntinginsider.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-members/bp-members-loader.php on line 114

I’m going to try and deactivate it manually then turn on the buddypress template before activating buddypress. maybe it will play nice then.

alright the host guys tried helping then we got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function xprofile_get_field_data() in /hsphere/local/home/c360397/huntinginsider.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-members/bp-members-functions.php on line 410

    huntinginsider.com

In the process of backing up everything, I’ll give it one more try. :)

Ah yeah, I got rid of buddypress from my ftp. Deadline is too close for me to keep trying to mess with it.

still got the error but instead of the /wp-admin/plugins blah blah blah being shown in the 500 error its the index itself The website encountered an error while retrieving http://huntinginsider.com/wp-admin/index.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

yep still at ix but a proper linux server this time :), giving it a shot right now

I have the same exact problem. I tried installing on a site WP 3.3.1/BP 1.5.5. and got this after installing the buddypress plugin manually. Gave up and wiped my entire wordpress install.

Tried again, fresh wordpress, fresh database, and even installed BuddyPress through the admin “add new plugin” area.

Both installs were using the default BP theme that it comes with. All other plugins disabled/deleted via ftp/or for the fresh build never installed any at all (other than BP)

Couldn’t get it to work in any possible manner.

so where do I get a copy of BuddyPress 1.2.10? I’m using a brand new install as well and get 404’s when I try to go to the group admin page, the thing made a group page (which is empty). :)
