I think I could track down the bug.
The multi select box worked till till Buddypress 1.9 and the retirement of bp-default.
(More details here: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/bp-default-parent-theme-missing/)I had to create bp-custom.php to get my child-theme of bp-default theme back running like described on that linked page.
Since then it doesn’t work anymore. The twenty fourteen theme works.
The problem just appears when trying to use bp-default with a child theme.Looks like buddy press got a bug when doing this change with the retirement of bp-default.
I just don’t know how to solve and get bp-default back to work with multi select boxes.
Should that be reported to buddypress? Thanks for your post.
Good to know that I’m not the only one.
I still couldn’t get it fixed.
It really looks like it’s a bug that exist since the new update of WordPress and Buddypress.@craigm1970 I would like to do exactly the same with my buddypress user profile navigation.
Could you please tell me how you solved it to get the subnav under the main nav? Thanks a lot in advance
Hi Elliot,
Yeah because of maintenance I didn’t have the chance to test it neither.
I’m now trying it with s2member plugin at the moment. It looks looks like it is possible with it so far.Hope I could help
Greetings
Kansas3d@mercime thank you for your help!
I’ll have a closer look at this plugin and ask the developer if there something not possible.
Thanks
Thank you mercime for your response!
I really appreciate it.I tried that plugin already and it’s not bad.
I’m just not sure how to realise two different user profile pages.
The yshould look different and have different tabs and fields. One user should be free the other one should have a monthly fee.
Do you know how to realise that?
Thank you a lot
Thanks 🙂
