This plugin might help. But frankly I’ve never used it: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-access-control/
@matuh, have you read these instructions?
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-20-shortcodes
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-20-theme-compatibilityBuddyPress must be installed site wide.
@DJPaul , I’ve make a ticket: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3467.
You’re welcome.@justbishop — plugins.php
In your case I think it’s impossible.
As I know, you can only make multiple wordpress installation with single login only if you are using a single database. Therefore, if you want there is BuddyPress with a single user credential on each WordPress installation, then it’s only possible if you are also using a single database.

This link might help: https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-plugin-updates/page/32#post-88185@Bowromir – On the last activate this plugin I got some error. I tried to activate it on the WordPress 3.2-beta1 (multisite) and BP 1.2.8.
@ultimateuser — This plugin is probably what you need:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/third-party-components-plugins/forum/topic/new-pluginexternal-member-blogs@sprach – I use https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-disable-activation/ to solve those problem.
Yes it already exist: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-disable-activation/
Have you tried this plugin: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/peters-login-redirect/ ?
@B1gft — This link might help to create a multi installation wordpress with a single login:
http://techblog.touchbasic.com/html/single-unified-login-for-multiple-wordpress-2-8-installs-in-subdirectories-using-cookies/But I’m not sure that there is hosting that does not support WordPress multisite. Even free hosting I have ever tried allow WordPress multisite. But it can not use subdomains, because it does not provide wildcard subdomains features.
@Morgue89, @austinfav — Have you tried this plugin https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-posts-on-profile/ ?
I’m using this plugin: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-disable-activation/. It’s free!
I have long been using the BuddyPress Block Activity Stream Types plugin. What you show on the last line is what I need right now. And it’s works.
Thanks alot, @nahummadrid
Just re-relaunch.
Just add
define ( 'BP_ENABLE_ROOT_PROFILES', true );
to wp-config file.Use this plugin to edit the group slug: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-edit-group-slug/
It seems only happen on BuddyPress 1.2.6. Because after I upgrade to 1.2.6, the custom profile on my site disappeared.
Is this a bug?
Or bbPress plugin.
Cool! Plugin that long I’ve been waiting. Thanks a lot, @Bowromir.
add this to your css file:
a { text-decoration: none !important;}
bbPress forum may be more appropriate to talk about this, as you can see on the link that I gave. You can also ask more there.
