In reply to: Events?
Ok, great.
In reply to: Translating BuddyPressOk, now I can’t edit my old post so here’s how I did it.
I use Poedit and it has a method for updating my current .po file from a .pot file. Just select “Catalog” -> “Update from POT file…” and select the new bp .pot file in the 1.0b2 release.
In reply to: BuddyPress Beta 2@kazama: What Andy said above, update your “buddypress-home” theme to the latest version and it will solve your problems (it did for me).
In reply to: Translating BuddyPressNevermind – I figured out that the .pot file has changed for 1.0b2.
Now I need to find out how I merge my current work with the new file.
In reply to: Events?I wont start a new thread for this but just add my needs for this type of functionality.
– Needs to be per group, just like a forum, and not per blog
– Should allow wire posts at the least – adding photos and other types of information would be great though
– Should allow for repeating events
– Should have member lists (preferably with status)
These are the needs I can think of right now.
The calendar/event plugins I have looked at don’t have any bp (or even mu?) functionality and all assume that you’re going to use them on your blog so they’re not of any use.
@nicola: I’m not sure I understood your reply. Are you working on this or are you awaiting a release from someone else?
In reply to: field groups – where do they show up?Hi.
First off you need to add some fields to the fields groups in order för them to show up.
After that they show up in two ways; when you fill out/edit your profile they show up as “tabs” at the top of the profile form.
When viewing a public profile they show up as sections, provided that the users has entered anything in a field in that field group.
HTH.
In reply to: BuddyPress Showoff: Post your linksOk, I’ll throw my hat into the ring…
As for now I’m running a standard bp theme site on WPMU 2.7 and bp 1.0b2 that I’m gradually translating to Swedish (55% there). For the non-swedes here it’s a community for people working out.
I’ve semi-launched it a couple of weeks ago so there’s just a few users but the site will stay intact so if you’re A) Swedish and
working out feel free to join.
Go look-see: http://komiformguiden.se
In reply to: New member blogs post on diffrent themeThanks Burt – I liked that insight into your thought process.

And, FWIW, the last tip is the correct one; remove the “default” WP MU theme folder, rename the folder with your choosen default theme to “default” and all new blogs will get this theme.
In reply to: Several widgets disappear when .mo file installedI have created a bug for this in the bugtracker as this affects my Swedish translation as well.
In reply to: Create A BlogOn a similar note – how do I activate the chapta field for my registrations?
In reply to: Translating BuddyPressJust to let everyone know, I’m taking a stab at translating BP to Swedish.
I’ll let you know how it goes in 2-3 weeks time.
