@modemlooper, was this ever resolved? I am trying to do something very similar and I am looking for a simple solution. Thanks!
This is not exactly what I was looking for because I would need to add multiple tabs to the Projects pages in addition to removing features such as forums. Also, I would need to rename them from Groups to Projects.
