@navinachettri this is not a BuddyPress issue and more like a theme issue. Please check if the issue is resolved if you change to the Twenty Fourteen theme. If it is, then do post at the theme author’s site.

@dshirac following are the only BP Widgets https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-components-and-features/buddypress-widgets/ Perhaps you mean a feature with another theme or plugin?

After the success of the survey held in early January this year, we’ve decided to hold another survey in 2015!
This is to invite you to submit questions you would like to see answered in the survey by the BuddyPress community. Questions could be multiple choices or open-ended or checkbox, etc., and addressed to either the theme/plugin d…[Read more]

@mercime replied to the topic Edit the Register (Registration page) in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
@joetheboss1998 First, please do not edit core files as these will be overwritten when you upgrade BuddyPress. Second, you’re looking at the wrong file.
Create a folder named
buddypress
at the root of your active theme/child theme folder then copy over…[Read more] -

@mercime replied to the topic How do members create a forum topic and a group? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
@kris35 You should still be able to create a group using the member dropdown menu on the right side of the admin toolbar Groups > Create assuming that the super/site admin enabled group creation in Settings > BuddyPress > Settings. Best place to ask is at the theme author’s forums as the theme is supposed to have BuddyPress support.

@tiger007xy you’re right in thinking something’s awry in your installation. WP/BP versions? Theme/Plugins used? Have you done some basic troubleshooting like changing to Twenty Fourteen and deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress to check if issue is resolved.

@irieside We cannot generalize where and what to add any/all codes you find online because as I mentioned above, it all depends on what/where the code will be used. Sometimes it only needs a line or just inserting it in one file, sometimes you need to add/delete code in many files.
Link to the page with the code you are referring to and if…[Read more]

@mercime replied to the topic Adding Friends via Members Directory in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
I think it would be better this “Add Friend” button to be replaced from the “Cancel Friendship” button.
@cartographer And that is what’s actually showing up in default installations. I just double-checked, just in case 🙂 Try changing your theme to Twenty Fourteen to see if issue is resolved. If it is, you just might need to update your current theme.

@cartographer Not sure why it’s happening in your installation. What theme/plugins are you using? Also, check pending users list in a new admin screen added by BP https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-components-and-features/member/pending-users-admin-screen/

@fugglet Unless you’re using the BP Default theme, the change you made won’t affect what shows up in your theme as you found out. Instead of revising core files (which would be overwritten when you upgrade next), you could do either of the following:
– copy over…[Read more]

@mercime replied to the topic [Resolved] Notification – what's wrong here? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
@dceditore I seen someone’s screenshot of the same issue around a year or so ago. WP/BP versions? What theme are you using and what plugins are activated in your installation? Change to the Twenty Fourteen, deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress, and then check if the issue is resolved on that page.
