@matiou34 as mentioned above, it’s going to be the plugin route – you’d have to create one or hire someone to do it.

@wendymerritt first thing I do when something is not kosher with install is to change to bp-default theme and deactivate all BP plugins except BuddyPress. Either theme or plugin is interfering with group creation.

@TammyM Should show up in dashboard menu Appearance > BP Compatibility if both BuddyPress and BP Template Pack plugins are activated. What versions of BP and template pack plugins are you using?

BP 1.5 now enqueues all stylesheets in functions.php. Therefore, to create your child theme, either remove the enqueueing by creating a new functions.php in child theme folder and adding this:

You can use negative margin for the #subnav to decrease space between #subnav and #object-nav.
e.g. div#subnav { margin-top: -20px; } — adjust as needed
