@henrywright-1 I recall seeing that happen once with a BP Default child theme and the other time with a “BuddyPress-ready” theme. It was a JS issue and was fixed with a point upgrade. What theme are you using?

@profc first thing is upgrade to BP 1.7.1. Change to BP Default and see if issue is resolved – no black frame. Check if your preferred theme has been upgraded for BP 1.7+. Do also double-check that the plugins you’re using have been upgraded to latest BP version as well.

The page.php of the theme should have the_title() and the_content() within the WordPress Loop for automatic BuddyPress Theme Compat to work.
