@mercime replied to the topic [Resolved] Set Buddypress Full-Width Pages? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 12 years, 9 months ago
@kkradel In a nutshell, if your theme has a full-width template, open that file, copy all code, and paste into a new file, buddypress.php which you then upload to your theme folder in server. https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/theme-development/a-quick-look-at-1-7-theme-compatibility/

@henrywright-1 I recall seeing that happen once with a BP Default child theme and the other time with a “BuddyPress-ready” theme. It was a JS issue and was fixed with a point upgrade. What theme are you using?

@mercime replied to the topic User avatars and gravatars broken link in the forum Installing BuddyPress 12 years, 9 months ago
@profc first thing is upgrade to BP 1.7.1. Change to BP Default and see if issue is resolved – no black frame. Check if your preferred theme has been upgraded for BP 1.7+. Do also double-check that the plugins you’re using have been upgraded to latest BP version as well.

@kkradel add to your theme’s style.css file. Example in link assumes div surrounding the sidebar widgets is #sidebar https://buddypress.org/support/topic/css-matching-for-recent-active-member-widget/#post-162541

@mercime replied to the topic [Resolved] Not able to get 'Create Group button' in the forum Installing BuddyPress 12 years, 9 months ago
@hallsy @akukskuks Normally, the “Create Group” and “Create Blog” (for multisite) buttons show up beside the Group/Blog Directory Title. The buttons do not show up if the_title(); tag in your theme’s page.php was placed outside of the WordPress loop.
There are different ways to address this issue. One way is to create the link for logged in…[Read more]

@mercime replied to the topic Installing and setting up Buddypress in the forum Installing BuddyPress 12 years, 9 months ago
@jskehill the issue with some premium WP themes are that the theme authors create proprietary templating systems. The page.php of the theme should have the_title() and the_content() within the WordPress Loop for automatic BuddyPress Theme Compat to work. If those are not there, a Theme Compat solution would be to copy your theme’s page.php file…[Read more]

Should I have real pages named after these slugs or not?
@anton-naydenoff you create only one page for the Archive Slug per A.3 and B.3 in the link I gave and add the forum shortcode. The inside forum pages will be automatically generated. If you want your Sitewide Forums link to be e.g. Discussions, then you should make your Archive Slug ->…[Read more]
