@mercime added that into wp-config.php but it still doesn’t allow members to @mention me properly. I would be willing to set up a test account for someone to try to understand the problem more if that will help.

@mercime Registration works normally in WordPress, as well as on a clean staging site with all the same plugins.

This will save me at least 1 week of manually creating items in all my forms , hope that somebody will come with this new feature very soon for example. Thanks @mercime

FYI I run BuddyPress 1.2.8 and WP 3.1.2. Perhaps this bug has been fixed in BP 1.3, what do you think?

When I said “move” I mean “copy db-template-pack/template/Activity folder from plugin to Tweentyten folder”

I think it isn’t a css/html error because no theme loads.

Any other advice?

I’m taking a look on database wp_options, to see if there is something anormal.
