In reply to: BP 1.6.1 Change Avatar page not found
I would re-upload BuddyPress manually, i.e., via FTP/FileManager/etc. and deactivate all other plugins.
In reply to: Paid virtual gifts?Something like this https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-gifts-rebirth/ – have not checked whether it still works for BP 1.6 but it’s more recent than the ol’ https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-gifts/
In reply to: cannot join groups== but the first plugin I have installed as problems. ==
@kar3n2 Which one is it? Have you deactivated it then?
== How do we join groups? ==
Not clear, are you referring to your own installation or to BuddyPress.org groups? In any case, here’s some info about BP groups for your reference https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/group-settings-and-roles/
In reply to: Avatar Crop broken with Chrome – Salutation ThemeGood to know. Thanks for posting back.
Adding “Salutation” theme to tile of this post for reference.In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – LucidSite URL = domain name aka http://www.yourdomain.com
Or are you testing this on XAMPP, MAMP or WAMP?In reply to: What are Friends for?@ubernaut None that I know of. It’s just natural on my part to warn that a plugin I posted about in this forum has not been updated for some time based on the information on plugin repo page
In reply to: [Resolved] Netlabs Music Theme and Buddypress@sunabuddy you’re welcome
Marking this as resolved.In reply to: BuddyPress pages widght and sidebar problems== Only issue i have is with this forums ==
No, you have an issue with all BP pages. Bringing your attention to the fact that the footer div is missing from the BP pages.
== I did it like 10 times, same result ==
What did you do 10x? Did you delete the BP folders in wp-content/themes/gonzo then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility?
In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – LucidWhat exactly isn’t working? Please enumerate and be specific.
For example: footer is missing, header is missing, sidebar is missing or on top of the header.,, etc etc etc.Something’s getting lost in translation and I want the URI to your website (not the theme demo) so that I can see what the problem is, and possibly give the solution sooner rather than later.
In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – LucidSite URL?
In reply to: BP 1.6.1 Change Avatar page not foundWhat theme are you using? Have you tried changing to BP Default theme to check if issue is corrected?
In reply to: Register Button not completing sign upAs far as I know, you’re the first person who reported an issue with the registration buttons for BP Default theme in this forums for current BP/WP versions. And I cannot recreate your issue in a new test install.
Did you check if the Salutation theme has been updated for BP 1.6.1? Also, have you checked if the plugins you posted above have been updated for current WP version?
In reply to: [Resolved] Netlabs Music Theme and Buddypressold code moved as noted above

In reply to: The Relate categories to Groups plugin@monkfish13 line 4 change to -> `return $post->post_name;`
HOWEVER, this might not work or could go seriously awry if there other other references to the post with group permalink in the other parts of the plugin. Best place to ask is at BuddyDev forums where the plugin dev knows the code inside and out.In reply to: [Resolved] Netlabs Music Theme and Buddypress@sunabuddy do post the codes for index.php, header.php, sidebar.php, and footer.php as well to get the ball rolling on this one.
In reply to: 1.7 theme defined@famous there’s no reason to hold off with a BP project or rush the developers because of the theme. Use BP Template Pack to make your WP theme compatible with BP for 1.6+ version. then when BP 1.7 rolls out, you can choose to deactivate the BP template pack plugin and remove the 6 folders and you’re set
We have template-packed more than 100 WP themes so far. Your theme might be one of those listed at https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#template-packed-wordpress-themes
In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – LucidYou should paste what’s in the walkthrough link to the bottom (below all other styles) of your theme’s style.css If that doesn’t work, need site URI. Got to see what’s wrong.
In reply to: [Resolved] Menu styling helpActually the comparable line == #nav li a ==
I just added #navigation before that to add more weight to override style/s.

@mdebaun You’re using the BP Default theme. It is BP-ready/-compatible as it is. Deactivate/Delete those template packs, neither is needed when using the BP Default theme.
Definitely something’s awry.
– Deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and check if issue is resolved. If not,
– Have you tried re-uploading BuddyPress manually to wp-content/plugins/ i.e., via FTP/cpanel/etc.?In reply to: My profiles activity feed defaultIn reply to: Styling bp-default menu in child themeSame request answered https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/menu-styling-help/
Closing this.In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – LucidB. COPY sidebar.php and Save As > sidebar-buddypress.php file
Open up sidebar-buddypress.php and at the very TOP of the file above all other code, add:
``[UPDATED-11/20/12 @rakshithvbharanigmailcom ] At the very BOTTOM of the same file, below all other code, add:
`jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});`
Save file.
C. Upload header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php to your theme folder in server wp-content/themes/lucid/ in the same directory where your regular header.php and sidebar.php files are
D. Final note: Copy the style modifications for some BP elements https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/ and paste those at the bottom of your theme’s stylesheet, then adjust to taste.
In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – Lucid@rakshithvbharanigmailcom You only need to create two new files, header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php to make your theme compatible with BP.
If you’ve revised any of the BP template files transferred to your lucid theme folder in server during the BP Compatibility process, please delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your lucid theme folder in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /members, /groups, /register – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility again to make sure that you have clean template files.
A. COPY your theme’s header.php and Save As > header-buddypress.php
Open up header-buddypress.php and at the BOTTOM of the file, below other code contained within, add this:
`<article id="post-” >`
