If the image uploaded to be used as avatar is greater than 150px x 150px, then it will be cropped one way or another.

@dyst4f Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your continuum theme folder in server during the compatibility process.

@wizza unless the instruction is for the Sportsmag theme, please do not copy any given in any previous thread. Open up your theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit, and post the generated URL here. Do the same for your theme’s index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files. We’ll see.
@amy-joy Two things:
1. Go to Settings > Forums and check/add that the path to your existing bb-config.php file is correct
and/or
2. Download a copies of WordPress and BuddyPress to your hard drive and re-upload WP and BP folders manually i.e., via FTP/cpanel/file manager/etc.
Let your users make friend connections so they can track the activity each other, and focus on the people they care about the most.

– Friends who are Group Admins can send invitations to friends to join the group created.
– All those who accepted your friendship request show up in the Friends tab of your Profile page and you can check out the activities of your friends.
– Of course, if you’re Super Admin, you don’t need to be friending everybody to send messages to one and all.
@primetimejas need more info. What theme are you using? What plugins do you have installed? If you change to BP default theme and deactivate all plugins except BP, are the issues resolved?
@koki_xiong glad you have it resolved. I suggest that before you install plugins or themes, double-check to make sure that these are compatible with the latest WP/BP versions.
Re BP Activity Plus: It has not been updated for WP 3.4.2 nor does it show it has been updated for current BP versions. To get support for this plugin, please post at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-activity-plus and click on Support tab. Deactivate this plugin and check if duplicate posts are resolved.
