Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to change the BP Templates’ page title’s header tag from `
…
` or `
..
` to `
// Respective Page Titles //
` where applicable, then move this to above `
Save files.
B. At the bottom of the same 16 files, replace:
`
`
with the following (except for registration/register.php):
`
<?php
lambda_after_content();
if(empty($columns))
get_sidebar();
get_footer();
?>`
with the following for registration/register.php:
`
jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});
<?php
lambda_after_content();
if(empty($columns))
get_sidebar();
get_footer();
?>`
Save files.
C. Upload the 6 BP folders containing the 16 files you’ve just revised to your server wp-content/themes/nevada/
D. Copy the style modifications made in BP Twenty Ten at https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/ and paste to your theme’s stylesheet. Adjust to taste.
@elmindo Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your nevada theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
If you’ve previously changed any of the BP template files in your nevada theme folder in server, replace all of them for a clean slate by deleting the 6 BP folders – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility.
Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.
A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
`
with the following:
`<?php
global $lambda_meta_data;
$meta_sidebar = $lambda_meta_data->get_the_value(‘sidebar’);
$meta_sidebar = (!empty( $meta_sidebar )) ? $meta_sidebar : get_option_tree( ‘select_sidebar’ );
get_header();
get_template_part( ‘template-part’, ‘slider’ );
get_template_part( ‘template-part’, ‘teaser’ );
if($meta_sidebar != UT_THEME_INITIAL.’sidebar_none’) {
lambda_before_content($columns=”);
} elseif($meta_sidebar == UT_THEME_INITIAL.’sidebar_none’) {
lambda_before_content($columns=’sixteen’);
}
?>

Go to My Sites > Network Admin > Dashboard and to Plugins > Installed Plugins and click on the “Network Activate” link under BuddyPress.
Best way is to use a language file https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/
== Buddypress should have the multi-user and blog options pre-installed. ==
Nope, because not every BP-enabled site requires a network. Besides, that’s the mothership’s (WP) function. Glad you resolved it anyway
Did you change to bp-default theme to check if the same issue crops up when you set registration as home page?
WP/BP versions? Multisite or single WP? Are you using BP default theme or custom theme? Did you check out https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
Site URL? test user login info?
@ansidious do post at BP Album forums as well https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/forum/
@drdavis74 Per theme’s info page, Huddle already contains the necessary BP template files. So if you did activate BP template pack plugin and went through Appearance > BP compatibility process, then you could have overwritten the native BP files. In this case, re-upload the Huddle theme files to wp-content/themes/huddle/
@buddyok BuddyPress does not limit the number of member-created blogs. Check if you have any BP/WP plugins that restrict blog creation in your plugins or mu-plugins folder or in special BP file bp-custom.php in wp-content/plugins.
@kookidooki WPMU is old school and has been merged with WordPress way back version WP 3.0. If you want to allow your users to create blogs, you’d have to create a Network (go Multisite) https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
I would suggest deactivating BuddyPress and other plugins, plus changing to Twenty Eleven theme before creating a network. Please make sure that your multisite installation is working as expected before activating BuddyPress again. If you have any issues going multisite, please post at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
@ronnie_fantastic flattery will get you nowhere
and this “legendary creature” cannot guarantee compatibility with Artisteer-generated themes. Having said that, we could give it a try. Do post the codes for header.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files as well.
@ouyagamingsource please create a new topic and move the information/questions you posted above which are not related to the subject matter at hand over there.
@ahmedselim open up your theme’s header.php file, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit, and post the generated URI here. Do the same for your theme’s index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files. Initial scan looks like you only need to create two files for BP compatiblity, but have to see the files first.
@mairaj you’d either have to follow up with the plugin developer, code it yourself or hire a developer to do so.
@ossendryver please post at plugin’s forum https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-checkins/forum/
It could just be that your theme has been customized not to show the activity updates/other details. Change to bp-default theme and check if issue is resolved.
1. If you’re LOGGED IN and go to the registration page, you will be automatically redirected to home page.
2. Did you enable registration in your General Settings?
3. What theme are you using? If a WP theme, did you install/activate the BP Template Pack plugin?
@ouyagamingsource to make your Alyeska theme compatible with BuddyPress, you need to install/activate the BP Template Pack plugin, the go through Appearance > BP Compatibility process as you’ll see https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/
You’re in luck, we’ve helped another person some months ago with Step 3 for the Alyeska theme at https://buddypress.org/community/groups/installing-buddypress/forum/topic/customising-alyeska-theme-for-buddypress/
If you have any issues re Compatiblity Process, please post at that thread.
== I am not sure if i can get away with the creation of the three “-buddypress.php” files or if I need to modify the 16 files and which code I need to copy. ==
@ahmedselim IT all depends on the HTML structure of your WP theme. You just cannot copy the code given for other themes because each has distinct structures and in all probability, not applicable to your theme’s. Have you looked if your theme is listed among the template-packed themes at https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#template-packed-wordpress-themes
@elmindo we’re going to have to hard code some of the template structures. Assuming that you’ve already set up your theme, let me know what your choices are in terns of
1. theme version you used: Full Width OR Boxed? Which one?
2. sidebar for ALL BP templates: No sidebar (full width) OR Left Sidebar OR Right Sidebar OR Both Sidebars? Which one?
1. What theme are you using? Did you apply the HTML changes you made to the other BP component changes to your register.php file? Site URL?
2. please do not make any changes in core files “plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration” as those will be overwritten when you upgrade BuddyPress.
@yidamweb #2. Not quite sure what you mean by “straightforward” manner because it already is straightforward to me. Perhaps we’ll see your point if you explain what your expectations are when you upload the image and move the cropping tool to cover the area of the image you wanted to show up as your avatar.
