@ssmltd more info required to troubleshoot. Windows or Linux server? WP/BP versions? Single/Multisite? Theme used? Plugins installed?
== Activity new members lost completely! I ==
Unless you deleted it in the database, then the activity would still be there. Did you just add a plugin or two? Then deactivate those. If you changed themes, then go back to bp-default theme. If that doesn’t work, please provide more info about your installation.

In reply to: Iis my theme buddypress compatible?@newmember01 you need to install/activate the BP Template Pack plugin to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress. Then you have to go through the BP Compatibility Process. A MusicLife theme that looks very much like your WordPress 40005 theme has been set up for Step 3 per https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#template-packed-wordpress-themes
In reply to: Adpating theme with BP Template Packcode has been updated and posted at http://wp.me/p1I84P-3b
In reply to: Adpating theme with BP Template Pack@sb0n Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your yoko theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
In reply to: Login ErrorI would deactivate the active WP theme you’re using via FTP by renaming the theme’s folder.
In reply to: Distorted avatar in bbpressLooks like you’ve fixed the issue as the avatar is square as expected. in FF, IE9, Chrome.
In reply to: MU help== but when someone goes to create site in their dashboard it says page not found. ==
@twc01 Please clarify, when you say “dashboard”, do you mean via wp-admin? The “Create a Blog” link in Blogs Directory page using bp-default theme should go to a form in the front end where users can enter required information to set up their new blogs/subsites. Only Super Admin can create a new blog/subsite via wp-admin network.

@zackasan Not clear. Do you mean the input area beside the browse button? Or after they click the browse button, somewhere in the box there’s a link to gravatar?
@diegoys it’s related to the Mingle theme. The solution would be available at theme’s site
In reply to: Theme Size Problem For Inbox Messages@robert-tramontano in case you change your theme, we have a list of template-packed WP themes with step-by-step instructions listed https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/
== My hosting vendor offers WordPress install through SimpleScripts service. ==
Do not use webhost instant WP scripts as they have been problematic for BuddyPress as well as WP Multisite installations -> https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#system-and-server-requirements
Backup DB and server files, then start from scratch. Drop DB, upload WP manually via FTP and intall WP.
In reply to: BuddyPress Site Plugin Search Broken? In the meantime, all BP-compatible plugins listed in our plugin section are hosted at WordPress.org https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=buddypress
In reply to: Theme Size Problem For Inbox Messages@robert-tramontano Will try to help. Hopefully, it won’t be too complicated.. Have to see what has been done though. If you are still going to use that theme, open up your theme’s regular page.php file, copy all code, paste to pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URL here. Do the same for the revised index.php file in your theme’s member folder in server as in wp-content/themes/yourthemefolder/members/index.php
In reply to: Need help with single activity page@wcten you’ll need to wrap the HTML structure of the page around the content of this file https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.6.1/bp-themes/bp-default/members/single/activity/permalink.php which would be in your server wp-content/themes/yourthemefolder/members/single/activity/permalink.php
If you used the first method for Step 3 (changing 16 template files), then copy over the revision for the top part of the files and replace ` ` Next, copy over the revision for the bottom part of the files and replace ` `
In reply to: Theme Size Problem For Inbox Messages== I looked in the messages php files and did not see any width adjustments ==
In many cases, one only needs to adjust 16 template files listed here https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#tplfiles which have the major HTML containers for the content of all other BP template files. As you will see, the message templates are not included there because the messages content is contained in the members page structure. In some cases, one only needs to create two files for theme compatibility. Come BP 1.7, you won’t even need the BP template pack plugin anymore as theme compatibility is being built into the BuddyPress plugin itself.
Have you brought this to the attention of the one who fixed your BP template files? What WP theme are you using? Do you have a screenshot of the issue compared to other “tamed” BP pages?
In reply to: 1.7 theme with multisite@famous that is a free plugin
Know that I always mention if a plugin I refer to is premium. In reply to: Cannot Edit, Delete, Open or Sticky Forum Topics== I sadly did not keep track of weird, off-hand alterations I might have made to the files I brought into my theme from core ==
Back up DB and server files then re-upload BuddyPress manually. If you mean you copied the bp-default theme and made it a stand-alone theme and uploaded it to wp-content/themes/ folder then I see no issues. On the other hand, if you made changes directly to bp-default theme in wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default, then that could be the reason why you’re having these issues.
