@algecas need to see it. do provide a test user login
All with sidebar OR full width?

You have to create forums first. See picture above, Forums > Add New then create name of the forum and publish the post. Add new forums as needed.@hnla “long suffering mercime” ? BP 1.7 will be my knight in shining armor carrying me from template-packing madness on a large unicorn

@garrickbs you have the following options
1. create only two files – but only have either page with sidebar OR fulll width for all your BP templates
2. revise 16 template files – but still have to test whether the codes with option to make it full width or with sidebar per options page will work in BP templatesI will presume #1 is your choice. ALL BP templates with sidebar or full width (no sidebar)?
code has been updated and posted at http://wp.me/p1I84P-38D
@algecas my email notifications are turned off for this site. know that we are volunteers living in different time zones, so patience please.
In reply to: Cannot Create a New Forum Topic in BP@suttilak15 the issue will be reported, thanks. To create a new topic, choose a forum on the right sidebar of this page, then click on “New Topic” link above the list of topics.
@algecas this is not the instruction for the wowway theme. I’ve responded to your post in this topic https://buddypress.org/community/groups/installing-buddypress/forum/topic/i-have-several-problems-to-fit-buddypress-to-wowway-theme/
@garrickbs Open up your theme’s header.php, copy all code, paste code in pastebin.com, click submit, and post the generated URI here. Do the same for your theme’s page.php, index.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files, I want to see the whole picture.

You’re welcome. Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: bbPress Site-Wide Forums Breaking Site== it breaks my whole site and everything is inactive. ==
@alexcurrie123 Haven’t heard bbPress bringing down a site before. BP/WP versions? Single/Multisite install? Windows/Linux?
– Have you checked whether it’s a plugin conflict by deactivating other plugins?
– Try deactivating BuddyPress, install/activate bbPress plugin, then activate BuddyPress.In reply to: [Resolved] Tabs in profile pages not visibleYou can add this to your theme’s style.css file
`div.item-list-tabs ul li a,
div.item-list-tabs ul li span {
color: #333;
}`Code updated and moved to http://wp.me/p1I84P-1J
12/14/2012You will be creating two new files, header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php
If you’ve revised any of the BP template files transferred to your modernize theme folder in server during the BP Compatibility process, please delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your modernize theme folder in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /members, /groups, /register – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility again to make sure that you have clean template files.
@garrickbs there template-packed themes already at https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#template-packed-wordpress-themes
== If you’re still stuck no doubt mercime will revise your files for you in due course so have another shot at it and update this thread with the results. ==
@hnla looking forward to BP 1.7
In reply to: Site became inaccessible after installing buddypress@abid-khan
– Deactivate the theme you were using when BP was activated by renaming theme folder in server e.g. wp-content/themes/mythemefolder-xx
– Go to wp-admin. If you still cannot access wp-admin then deactivate BuddyPress plugin folder in server by renaming the plugin folder wp-content/plugins/buddypress-xxLink to full width page in demo?
In reply to: User Allow to post@sureshkutti either change role of new members from Suscribers to Contributor or Author. Or, make your installation multisite and allow users to create blogs.
@rairai-ni based on initial scan, you would only need to create two files for BP compatibility but it will have to be hardcoded. You’ll have to decide on either or the three layouts for ALL your BP templates:
a) content with right sidebar -> like this page OR
b) left sidebar with content -> do provide a link to a page with that layout, OR
c) full-width, no sidebar -> do provide a link to a page with that layout@micjavier Your theme has default button.span that’s display: block which stretched out BP’s span tag. To resolve the issue, add this to your stylesheet
`a.bp-primary-action span,
#reply-title small a span {
display: inline;
}`In reply to: Adpating theme with BP Template Pack@rairai-ni please start a new topic and include the information you posted above. This topic is specific to the Yoko theme.
In reply to: Adpating theme with BP Template Pack== Actually, I’d like BP to appear only in a member section, so not directly in my index page, ==
@sb0n The revisions I posted above touched only the 16 template files within 6 template folders transferred to your theme’s folder in the server during the BP compatibility process, not your theme’s index.php page. I would suggest re-uploading your theme’s files manually via FTP as something else might have messed up your theme’s index.php
== changing/moving header tags ==
Sorry about that, code has been updated
