@ript247 not quite sure what you mean. Your issue is not related to this topic so do start a new topic . and provide more information than what you gave above https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/
In reply to: How to display custom group value?In reply to: [Resolved] How to style the buddybarYou’re welcome

You could have different layouts/colors for different sections/pages of your site within one theme already.
You could create a Twenty Eleven child theme, then install/activate BP template pack plugin and go through the Appearance > BP Compatibility process. The cool thing is that you create a header-buddypress.php (with link to own stylesheet) and a footer-buddypress.php, both with the same structure as the BP Default theme and basically you’re good to go. The two new files would cover all the BP templates transferred to your Twenty Eleven child theme.
In reply to: @mention not showing in profileDid you add a plugin recently? If you change to bp-default theme, do the mentions show up?
In reply to: Private blog posting in public activity streamYou do that in Settings > Privacy where you choose “Ask search engines not to index this site.”
In reply to: [Resolved] How to style the buddybarYou just need to apply the styles from #megamenu to `body div#wp-admin-bar .padder` to start off and copy over the block_top.png from megamenu to your theme’s /images/ folder
`body div#wp-admin-bar .padder {
border: 1px solid #000000;
border-bottom: none;
background-color: #333333 !important;
background: #333 url(images/black_top.png) top left repeat-x;
background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#333333), to(#111111));
background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #333333, #111111);
background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #333333, #111111);
background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #333333, #111111);
background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #333333, #111111);
-webkit-border-radius: 2px;
-moz-border-radius: 2px;
border-radius: 2px;
-moz-background-clip: padding;
-webkit-background-clip: padding-box;
background-clip: padding-box;
-webkit-box-shadow: inset 0px 1px 0px 0px rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
-moz-box-shadow: inset 0px 1px 0px 0px rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
box-shadow: inset 0px 1px 0px 0px rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1);
}`BuddyPress ships with fully customized bbPress 1.
Re BP 1.7: As Paul, a BP core dev, mentioned above it’s the customized bbPress 1 which will be phased out, the Group Forums will be kept but will be moved to the Sitewide forums (bbPress plugin). See bbPress Settings where at the bottom of the panel, there’s a section specifically for BuddyPress Group Forums https://mercime.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/bp16-swforums-03.jpg?w=700
In reply to: [Resolved] How to style the buddybarCan’t see any adminbar. If you want assistance, please provide a test user login info.
Re: ” I’m trying to get the buddybar to match another menu “
Which menu are you trying to match with buddybar?Basically, the BuddyPress Group Forums will be migrated/merged into the Sitewide Forums (bbPress plugin) come BP 1.7
In reply to: [Resolved] How to style the buddybarsite url?
Simplest way would be by adding this to your theme’s stylesheet:
`#sidebar div.item-title,
#sidebar div.item-meta {
display: none;
}
#sidebar ul.item-list li {
float: left;
margin: 0 5px 5px 0;
padding: 5px;
width: 50px;
height: 50px;
}`What is the “problem of Algh” ? Looks like you’re proposing a redesign of BP component areas to that of Jcow software. I don’t think that’s likely to happen at all or if it does, it won’t be anytime soon.
In reply to: How to make Buddypress works with Facebook Comment?You could contact plugin developer if he’d like to make it compatible with BP to show up in Activity Stream
In reply to: Ajax pagination and listing errorBP/WP versions? Single/Multisite WP? Does this happen when you’re using the bp-default theme?
@charlietech I believe I’ve seen you post the same issue in WP forum and here some time ago. The issue is with the Suffusion BP pack plugin, please contact the theme/plugin developer.
In reply to: Custom Buddybar WidthDo not create a new topic from dropdown link in adminbar.
Go to https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/
Click on “New Topic” link above list of topics.In reply to: New Install Not WorkingYou need to install/activate the BP template pack plugin to make WP theme compatible with BuddyPress. I don’t know if the JS conflict has been fixed with Canvas already, but here’s what we tried to work out before https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/woo-canvas-child-theme-customization-and-ajax/
EDIT – at end of that page http://labzip.com/shop/canvas-child-theme/ which claims compat with BP. I would suggest before any purchase that you make sure it’s compatible with latest BP and WP pages.In reply to: Role Difference Between WordPress and BuddyPress@bjwangschowe Yes, for BP, it is Admin and everything else. There’s of course the Group Admin/Mods which are limited to the Group Forums only.
In reply to: New user & admin not receiving sign up confirmationIf your theme has custom menu support, you could always add the links to your main navigation via Appearance > Menus
In reply to: BuddyPress Media component@a-swede-in-greece there are two BuddyPress Media plugins which have own forums
– BP Media plugin -> https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/forum/
– BP Media Component plugin -> https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-media/ and click on support tab== blog- as well as(or) a business directory plugin which we can ad ==
I assume you mean external blogs. Try https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-links/screenshots/ or adapt it to fit to your needs.@whedlund not quite sure what you mean. Could possibly be fixed by adding corrective style in your style.css file only. URL of your members directory page?
@mudgey click on the wp-admin menu dashboard, then click on the Update Wizard link in the message box
@mahdiar What top users widget? Link to page with the widget you want to copy and link to your site where you want to add the style to.
