In reply to: Padding Issue after Admin Bar Removal@ganzuelo Again, I don’t see any gap 🙂 Please clear your browser cache and/other any cache you have activated for your site.
In reply to: BuddyPress not working@webt89 Unfortunately, there are themes with proprietary templating systems that hijacks the loop which allows BP to be compatible with WP themes. There could still be a way around it.
1. https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/theme-compatibility-1-7/
2. Examples of creating a
buddypress.phpfile to customize BP pages -> https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/bp-theme-compatibility-and-the-wordpress-default-themes/In your case though, you cannot copy over the page.php source code to your buddypress.php. What you would need to do is get the plain HTML structure of that section and replace some code with the WordPress Loop which includes the_title and the_content.
You could try asking the premium theme author for that simple
buddypress.phpfile which you need to upload to your theme folder in server or hire a developer to do so.In reply to: Padding Issue after Admin Bar Removal@ganzuelo Either you’ve fixed the issue or that is seen only by logged in users because I checked it out using FF and Chrome and it all looks fine.
In reply to: New Users in Back-endIn reply to: No Registration and Activation Page@pietro_sferrino Go to Appearance > Menus and click on the “Screen Options” tab near the upper right hand corner of your screen. Then check BuddyPress to show on screen. You’ll find the new BP metabox with all BP links including the Register page which you can add directly to your main/secondary navigation menu/s. Only the Activate page is not included there.
You can either copy over https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/2.0.1/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/groups/create.php by adding buddypress/groups/ folders and add changes yo want to make after line #185 OR add info by hooking into
do_action( 'bp_before_group_invites_creation_step' );for the Group Invite section in your theme’s functions.php fileIn reply to: Registration Page Issuechange the edit the boxed included by default
@osamanuman just copy over https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/2.0.1/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members/register.php into wp-content/themes/your-theme-name/buddypress/members/ folder (create folders if you don’t have them yet) then edit that register.php and save.
if I want to add mission and about us in the same registration page, how can it be done
Any field you create in the “Base” profile field group will show up in registration form. https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-components-and-features/extended-profiles/
In reply to: [Resolved] disable nickname/pseudonymwhen admin create a users he is forced to enter a pseudonym
@victord34 you mean a “username”. That is a WordPress requirement for registration, not BuddyPress. But since BP is a plugin for WP, we use those usernames in different instances.
In reply to: [Resolved] disable nickname/pseudonym@victord34 start off with https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-real-names/
In reply to: BP Buttons are unreadable@strokahontas search shows at least 4 Avenue WP themes from different authors. Site URL?
In reply to: buddypress.js not loading@ghostpool Strange.
– What’s the difference between your problematic installation and your working installs?
– Have you checked whether you have remaining code/script in bp-custom.php or mu-plugins folder?
– Is that a new/old install on standard WP or WP multisite? Are you developing locally or on webhost? In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress Login Not Working@ashleysturm Wow indeed. Thank you for posting back. If you haven’t already, please do post at plugin’s forums so that they would fix the plugin.
Marking this issue as resolved.
In reply to: BP Buttons are unreadable@strokahontas Change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and you’ll see the size of the buttons styled by BP CSS. So the “tiny” part could be from your own theme’s styles.
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress Login Not WorkingOne of the two sites (http://portal.innovteched.com/) has the activated BuddyPress 2.0.1 plugin
@ashleysturm Just to be clear, did you configure the portal subsite as the root blog? https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/
@tormorten Check if the hidden group was recorded in your database
– wp_bp_groups list of groups created with ID assigned to each
– wp_bp_groups_groupmeta with ID of your hidden group, you’ll see date group created, if has forums etc.If recorded in DB, WP/BP versions? Since the issue with that hidden group you created, have you been able to create a new hidden group which is visible to site/super admin in front end and back end? Can you provide steps so that we can recreate the issue? i.e., theme/plugins activated, server environment, etc.
In reply to: Male profiles should be invisible, but how?Closing this in favor of link posted by @danbp
In reply to: Buddypress not compatible with theme@shibbymintay Strange. What theme are you using? Have tested BP with many themes and this is the first time this issue has been reported. Or, do you have any script/code in bp-custom.php, functions.php, or plugin which works on the adminbar?
In reply to: Buddypress not compatible with themeexcept when Buddypress is activated the site’s navigation bar which is at the top of the page and everything above it is cut off.
@shibbymintay Not clear what you mean by that. Do you mean everything visually “below” the admin bar is gone?
