Copy over activity-loop.php to your bp-default child theme https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.4/bp-themes/bp-default/activity/activity-loop.php

If you have a bp-default child theme, copy over header.php from bp-default theme https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.4/bp-themes/bp-default/header.php
Then delete lines 25-44 from header.php per link I gave and move those lines over where you want it.== Is there a buddypress 1.5 compatible plugin that manages banneradds? ==
You could create widget areas then just add the sidebar areas where you want them to show up in theme, see how to http://justintadlock.com/archives/2010/11/08/sidebars-in-wordpress
== I’d need to show the login form to all the users that get to the BP site. Only on that one. ==
Copy code from bp-default’s sidebar.php to your bp-default child theme or custom BP theme. https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.4/bp-themes/bp-default/sidebar.php

Good for you! Marking this as resolved.

#8. Do you have any plugins other than BuddyPress installed and activated? If so, which ones? None activated.
#12. If running bbPress, which version? Or did your BuddyPress install come with a copy of bbPress built-in? 2.0.2bbPress 2.0.2 is a plugin, and you have to install it deliberately for the Sitewide Forums. Group Forums uses its own version of bbPress. So just to clarify, which forum are you referring to? Group Forums or the Sitewide Forums?
In reply to: Re-install is possible?You know the problem is that BP 1.2.5.2 was set to be compatible with WP 3.0. You have upgraded your installation to latest WP 3.3.1 but did not upgrade your BuddyPress which is now version 1.5.4
@fswd you mentioned that you set up the forum correctly (in your first post), did you enable forums for each group in e.g. GroupName > Admin ? https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/4/#forums-faqs

In reply to: [Resolved] Alignment problems with PureType ThemeYou’re welcome.
Someone tried to make your theme compatible with BP using the first method — changing 16 BP template files starting with /activity/index.php. I see a duplicate `
` within the file I mentioned.To make sure that you have clean BP template files, delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your puretype theme folder in your server. Then re-run Appearance > BP Compatiblity and go through the process of transferring clean new BP template files.
Also you might want to use some or most of the styling mods done for BP Twenty Ten at middle of this page https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/
In reply to: Profile help== I don’t know how to make a bp-custom.php ==
I answered your question at https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/how-do-i-create-a-bp-custom-php-file/
== I don’t know how to make a child theme ==
BP Codex is your friend https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
In reply to: [Resolved] Alignment problems with PureType ThemeC. Copy your theme’s sidebar.php and Save As > sidebar-buddypress.php
Open up sidebar-buddypress.php and at the very top of the file, above other code, add this:
``
Then at the very bottom of the same file, below other code, add this:
`jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});`
Save file.
Upload the three new files to your server wp-content/themes/puretype/ the same level where you find original header.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files
In reply to: [Resolved] Alignment problems with PureType Theme@tadpubco Looks like you only need to create three files header-buddypress.php, sidebar-buddypress.php and footer-buddypress.php
A. Copy your theme’s header.php and Save As > header-buddypress.php
Open up header-buddypress.php and at the very bottom of the file, below other code, add this:
``Save file.
B. Create a blank footer-buddypress.php file
In reply to: [Resolved] Weaver theme and BuddyPress alignment@dsg257 by Weaver theme, are you using the free version from WP Theme Repository https://wordpress.org/extend/themes/weaver or the premium version?
In reply to: Need Help With BuddyPress Customizations== I think this was deleted before – if there is a problem with my post, please do let me know. ==
Nope. Nobody deleted same topic you posted at the Jobs Board Forums https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-jobs-board/forum/topic/need-help-with-customizing/
You could also post at http://jobs.wordpress.net/
In reply to: Buddypress/PagelinesNot quite a BuddyPress issue but more of Pagelines theme. You should check out their docs where you have to install the “BuddyPress for PageLines Plugin” on top of the BP Template Pack plugin. Not sure how fresh the info is though http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/How_to_Use_the_BuddyPress_for_PageLines_Plugin
You should post query about BP Compatibility at theme author’s forums.
In reply to: bbPress pluginGroup forums will be using bbPress 2+ the plugin pretty soon https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3598
In reply to: Which Forum? Don’t think bbPress will workThis is not quite a BuddyPress issue. Please post at bbPress forums or WordPress forums where you’d have better feedback/responses

WP/BP versions?
Windows or Linux server?
What theme are you using? Change to bp-default theme.
What plugins do you have installed?
Did you run Settings > Permalinks and set to other than default permalink?= when they login, I’d like it to take them directly to their profile. ==
Check out http://buddydev.com/buddypress/buddypress-trick-redirect-users-to-their-profile-on-login/ where there’s a plugin version near bottom of article
In reply to: Profile help#1) What theme are you using? If you’re trying to edit the bp-default theme via Appearance > Theme Editor can’t do it. First, you can’t because it’s in the BuddyPress plugin folder and second, you shouldn’t because it will be overwritten when you upgrade BuddyPress. Create a bp-default child theme instead.
#2) Redirect to Profile page after user logs in – try @sbrajesh http://buddydev.com/buddypress/buddypress-trick-redirect-users-to-their-profile-on-login/
