In reply to: [Resolved] Submit button error
WP Framework theme has not been updated since April 2011 and therefore the BP Template files included therein have not been updated as well. Change to bp-default theme and the issue will be corrected.
In reply to: Problem with registeringBasic troubleshooting – change to bp-default theme and see if issue is corrected. If not, deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and check registration.
In reply to: How to change the sidebar width?My bad, forgot the sidebar has border as well, so change div#sidebar to include removing the border
`div#sidebar {
border-left: 0;
margin-left: -352px;
width: 350px;
}`In reply to: Can I auto assign a group on registration?You need to create a plugin for that or hire a developer to do so.
Users cannot edit their usernames in frontend user profiles nor in backend user profiles at all. If you mean display names, you can install https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-usernames-only/ so that even if they change display names, what will appear in the front end would be their usernames. Read the Installation instructions and FAQ.
Looks like you’ve decided to install Joomla instead. Good luck.
In reply to: New topic link not workingWP/BP versions?
What theme are you using? Have you tried changing to bp-default?
From what to what versions did you upgrade from and to?In reply to: Best Way to Add a 2nd BlogCreate a network a.k.a. go Multisite, yes. https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

>> how can I have a page visible in my sidebar
Not quite sure what you mean. If you activated the Sitewide Forums, you’d find that there are bbPress widgets that you could add to your sidebar like:
– bbPress Forums List
– bbPress Topics List
– bbPress Views List
– bbPress Reply ListIn reply to: Two different registration formsAt this time, you would have to either wait for a plugin developer to do so or develop it yourself or hire a developer to do so.
In reply to: HELP! Cant Get BuddyPress To Fit In My Custom Theme!First of all, what theme are you trying to make compatible with BuddyPress?

In reply to: How to change the sidebar width?>> doubles the size of the actuall header, is this what needs to be edited in the css

2, Facebook – http://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-buddypress-facebook-connect-advance-facebook-loginregistration-plugin-for-your-buddypress-based-social-network/ (Premium)
3. Classified Ads – you can use most WP plugins with BP and members may add their classifieds in the installation, but none in this category have any integration with BP that I know of. You either have to build a bridge or ask the plugin developer to add it or hire a another developer to do so.In reply to: BuddyPress Template Pack: The Members LoopLooking at the current HTML structure of your Members, Groups and other BP template files, each is missing some original theme divs which add background color and padding. You removed the div.padder container from BP templates and then added a new div#bp-block around the item-list-tabs to try to contain it.
Recommend the following:
1.Add back the opening div.padder and closing div per original BP template files
2. Remove the #bp-block container div you surrounded div.item-list-tabs with
3. Add the following to your stylesheet to compensate for the missing divs
`/* BuddyPress Mods */
#content div.padder {
background: #eee none;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
clear:both;
font-size: 9pt;
margin: 0 0 10px;
padding: 15px;
}`4. Use the BP style modifications used in Twenty Ten Child theme for BuddyPress https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/
5. Adjust style to taste.
In reply to: Search forum/supportYou can use Google has indexed our forums pretty well e.g. “BuddyPress.org keywords phrases”
In reply to: New Project1. You have to clarify what you mean by user’s page. You could allow each user to personalize their member profiles in some way via plugin http://buddydev.com/buddypress/allow-your-users-to-change-their-profile-page-background-using-bp-custom-background-for-user-profile-plugin/
If you meant by showing a new subdomain, that you would be giving them their own blogs in your installation, then allow them to choose which theme they want for their blog/site.2. Pictures portfolio/gallery. Two choices available at this time:
– free BP Album aka BP Media plugin – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-album/ and http://code.google.com/p/buddypress-media/
– premium BP Gallery plugin – http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-gallery/In reply to: How to change the sidebar width?– Copy over header.php and sidebar.php from the bp-default theme into your bp-default child theme folder.
– Open up header.php and remove the search form there.
– Open up sidebar.php and copy then remove the code for the login.
– Paste over the login code into header.php where you want it to show up.
– Open up your child theme’s style.css file and add styling for your login form which is now in your header.phpIn reply to: Post Update -> Page Not FoundYou might want to check the custom community forums to check if such issue has cropped up and any solutions or if no such issue was brought up, post in that forum about your issue.
If you want to check if the issue is corrected using bp-default theme, backup your database where the custom community theme’s options are stored. Then change to bp-default theme and check if you can post updates without issue.
After you make the changes, go to dashboard menu Settings > Permalinks and Save page.
In reply to: Bug under the Forum !HELP!Looks like you resolved it already.
Separate issues. For the double page links, check your custom menu in Appearance > Menus. As for the forum, which one did you create, the group forums or the sitewide forums? If group forums, did you associate it with a Page in dashboard menu BuddyPress > Pages?
