There’s no plugin for that at this time. You’d have to create one or hire a developer to do so.
In reply to: Change users name colour, depending on their role?In reply to: [Resolved] Getting Forums to WorkKudos @kingary for not giving up!

Cheers. In reply to: How to add default text to update text box area?No sorry, the plugin does not work with status update form. It’s for the blog posts based on the example url and the list you gave matched with your site’s blog posts, hence the plugin recommendation. The plugin is more for developers so there’s no UI in dashboard but adding code in functions.php and in template file. Have you read the information given in the plugin page and tried to follow the instructions?
In reply to: Registration Security Question RemovalThere’s no registration security question in a default BuddyPress installation so the security question in your theme is not a BP problem. Deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and change to bp-default theme and you’ll find that there’s none at all.
In reply to: [Resolved] Getting Forums to WorkSanity check:
– WP 3.3.1 and BP 1.5.3.1?
– WP and BP installed at domain root?
– You have changed to bp-default theme and deactivated all plugins except BuddyPress?
– You want group forums so you don’t need the stand-alone forums installed and messing up with installation. Or are you trying to make the stand-alone forums work as group forums?
– Linux or Windows server? In reply to: PayPal Option== Thats what I was talking about ==
You didn’t mention s2member in your first post
As to adding PayPal option to registration, that would be in plugin territory.
In reply to: static front pageSame way you would do with a WordPress static home page https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
Log in the BuddyPress demo site testbp.org and send me a private message with username and password and the url to the webpage you are referring to.
Glad your hosting plan resolved this for you. Curious how many members, groups, posts etc you already have because that’s a lot of memory for a new installation.
You should build a child theme for bp-default so your customizations won’t be overwritten when you upgrade BuddyPress https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
You’d add the new styles In your child theme’s stylesheet. If you need assistance, site url?
Did you install any other plugin after you resolved the issues with genesis ? Just to be sure, try to deactivate your plugins folder via FTP/cpanel by renaming the folder to e.g. wp-content/plugins-xxx
Rename the folder back to wp-content/plugins after you access wp-admin.
In reply to: How to add default text to update text box area? You’re welcome and do tell us how it worked out for you.
In reply to: Registration Page Looks WonkyYour BP pages like activity, members, groups, etc. look unstyled as well. Unfortunately, artisteer-generated themes are the d-v-l to customize. No shortcodes at this time. Probably in the future.

You’d have to do some customizations yourself, but check it out.In reply to: link to last post in the topic“ of bbPress 2.0.2 plugin
In reply to: Using BuddyPress for a Running Team? You’re welcome. If I recall “reports” from WP.org forums well, I believe you also need to increase your memory limits from 32MB to 64MB at GoDaddy if it’s allowed on your plan. Good luck.
In reply to: “create account” link going to page not foundIf you installed WP/BP in directory http://yoursite.com/wordpress/ and if you have enabled registration and BuddyPress is activated, the link to create an account goes to http://yoursite.com/wordpress/register by default. The only way to have http://yoursite.com/register is if you installed WP/BP at domain root.
In reply to: [Resolved] Getting Forums to WorkThat’s fine. You can bump your post if unanswered after 24 hours. All of us here are volunteers living in different time zones

– check the generated bb-config.php file in the root of your WP install. Database info there correct?
– check your database via phpMyAdmin and see if the 7 tables needed for your Group Forums were generated. List of tables and screenshot https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/3/#bp-forums-db
In reply to: Reply to a topic postLike in the way response is presented or grouped in hierarchy for the BP Activity Streams, WP Comment threads, Ning forums and/or the way gmail does? Because that’s not the traditional way that it is done for forums which have flat discussion threads. Having said that, a developer can always create a plugin to do so.
In reply to: Using BuddyPress for a Running Team?“if GoDaddy can handle it” is the operative phrase. At a certain point, you’d have to upgrade from shared hosting to VPS/Cloud etc.
== would I be better off sticking with the default theme and customizing it for now? ==
I recomment that you build a child theme of bp-default theme instead and customize all you want from there.
In reply to: [Resolved] Errors with my buddypress.org profile== I cannot post in groups or comment on activity. ==
Do you mean you cannot post in forums of plugin group or in plugin reviews?
As for status updates in groups and profiles, these have been turned off deliberately at BuddyPress.org so no error there.
In reply to: Using BuddyPress for a Running Team?Yes you can use BP. As for your hosting, noted that some newbies have encountered problems setting up BP there but since you have WP experience, you would know what to do. You aren’t planning to go multisite there, are you? Re putting BP on a subdirectory – if you can, install WP/BP at root of new physical subdomain as in http://buddypresshere.yoursite.com/, to avoid any possible interference or conflict.
In reply to: [SOLVED] – BuddyPress on IIS 6 fails to load pageThe part about the Installation Wizard is in the plugin’s readme.txt as seen in https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress/installation/ as well in BP Codex https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/
In reply to: Buddy Press 1.5.3.1 errorHave never tried free webhosting. Deactivate BuddyPress. Is WP working with pretty permalinks in that hosting? If not, then you have to resolve that first before installing BuddyPress.
Also, you should not have installed your WP via fantastico or any hostscript because you’ll have lots of problems getting BuddyPress to work in that set up.
