In reply to: Editing the Header in the Functions.php File…Add this to your bp-default child theme’s functions.php file
`// Disable custom header support.
define( ‘BP_DTHEME_DISABLE_CUSTOM_HEADER’, true );`I noticed that you’re making the changes in the bp-default theme at plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default. When you update BuddyPress, your theme revisions will be overwritten. I recommend that you create a chlid theme of bp-default theme https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
In reply to: Turning off Groups Crashed SiteIf you can access wp-admin, deactivate all plugins. If you can’t access wp-admin, access plugins folder in server via FTP/cpanel/etc. and rename plugins folder to e.g. plugins-xx

In reply to: [Resolved] Compatibility issue with Mammoth Theme@PrimeSuspect there’s a second method now in BP template pack to make your theme compatible with BP and it would be appropriate for your theme. I need you to go to a page on your site and View Source Code. Copy all and paste in pastebin.com and post the generated URL here. I need it to compare HTML with the source of page template you posted.
In reply to: Buddy Press Back End Lost to Fatal ErrorYes. You asked “how to stop people from making groups and creating backlinks to sites like viagra.com” and that’s straight out-of-the-box solution for Site/Super Admins. Any other way would require creation of a plugin.

@kkradel use the BP Template Pack plugin with your WP theme. If you need assistance post a new topic in this forum. In reply to: Member Profile and Settings links do nothingJust to clarify, previous to upgrading to BuddyPress 1.5.1, what BP version were you on? Or is this a new install? Not quite clear. I suggest you change to bp-default, log out, clear cache and log in again.
To make sure that the theme you’re installing is really updated and compatible with WP 3.2.1 and BP 1.5+, install the Theme Check plugin and run it. If there are warnings or required items, then either drop the theme or contact the theme dev to update the theme or update it yourself.

There is none at this time. Full integration and migration for bbPress 2.0 is scheduled for BP 1.6In reply to: Change text colorBuddyPress is version 1.5.1 at this time and I see BuddyPress is not activated in your site. You most probably mean bbPress 2.0. Having said that, I do not see bbPress activated in your site as well.

I suggest that you find another theme or check with original theme dev if it will be upgraded to current BP 1.5. Contact tech support of your webhost and specifically check if there have been any changes with the mail functionEDIT- there’s also a solution posted here which is not directly related to your issue but which could shed some light to a solution https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/registration-email-not-being-sent/?topic_page=2&num=15#post-100993
I should have added – to troubleshoot what is causing such behavior in your installation. If it’s custom community theme, then the theme authors should be notified asap. If changing to bp-default does not resolve the issue, then it could be easy-contact plugin that’s causing the issue.
In reply to: friendship request url in email not resolvingWhat has changed in your install between the time friendship request was working to the time it’s not working anymore? Did you upgrade BP and/or add/delete plugin, etc?
Please do not post the whole error message as it will be cut short in title. Post the whole message in your post. Deactivate BP Template Pack, it’s not needed when you use the bp-default theme or a child theme of bp-default.
Deativate BuddyPress. Delete the “blog” slug in custom permalinks. Re-run Settings > Permalinks. You have to resolve permalink issues in WP install before activating BuddyPress.
In reply to: Group Avatar upload not workingIs BuddyPress installed in the main site or subsite? What theme are you using?
Change theme to bp-default theme.
