In reply to: How to rename HOME Tab?
== What’s the way to get back «Activity» as tab name instead of «Home»? ==
Using custom menu is the easiest way. If you’re using bp-default or child theme thereof.

What plugin did you use? Why was it necessary to install a plugin for .htaccess which would be automatically generated when you create a network?

@tahirtaous I’d use WP_Query on archives.php from available ways to do so in this article http://digwp.com/2011/05/loops/ Cheers.

In reply to: [resolved] Can’t Delete ”Topics”Cool. Thanks for the positive update.
In reply to: 404 Errors on all pagesDon’t exactly know how current that list is. I would suggest double-checking compatibility of the plugin/s you want to install yourself as well. BP compatiblity is usually noted in right sidebar re plugin like you saw for BP Moderation – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-moderation/
In reply to: [Resolved] Buddy Press Theme Intergration ???Add this to style.css
`table.forum tr > td:first-child, table.forum tr > th:first-child {
padding: 15px !important;
}`You should also install the Firebug add-on for Firefox to help you along with styling your site.
== Should I delete the Detox theme? ==
Yes you should. I suggest that before activating a WP/BP or WP/BP child theme you already installed, you should install and activate the Theme Check plugin. Go to Appearance > Theme Check and choose the theme you want to use and run Theme Check. If there are negative results in Theme Check and see things you can work on, then do it. Otherwise, I suggest contacting theme developer and/or find a new theme.In reply to: [resolved] Can’t Delete ”Topics”Backup database and server files. Upgrade to BP 1.5.
== I assume that this means that I am having a plugin problem? ==
Yes it does.== now what do i need to do? ==
– Since you’ve been able to access your wp-admin, you can now rename wp-content/plugins-x to wp-content/plugins
– Activate BuddyPress
– Use bp-default theme in the meantime
– Do not activate maintenance mode plugin yet – it sometimes messes up with BP plugins
– Activate BP plugins one by one and see which one is messing up with your login. There’s a list of plugins compatible with BP 1.5 – https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-plugin-compatibility/Looks like you changed the format of the archive.php in your child theme. I’d look at the code you placed there first.
== I can navigate to the home page and the login page. Once I log in i receive the aformentioned mentioned error.==
Access server files and rename plugins folder to e.g. wp-content/plugins-x then try to log in.
In reply to: Buddy press stopped working on my siteLooks like you haven’t completed the compatiblity process with the BP Template Pack where you have to impose the HTML structure of your theme onto the BP folder/files transferred to your active WP theme – the church child theme of genesis I see.
@walid3 I will be posting info re Twenty Eleven theme with BP Template Pack by this Sunday/Monday.
In reply to: [Resolved] Buddy Press Theme Intergration ???Yup. Adjust negative left and right margins on BP component elements so you’d get back the spacing between sidebar and content. I needed to add !important to all of below because bp.css is enqueued
`div.dir-search { margin: -20px 0 0 !important; }
div.item-list-tabs { margin: 25px 0 20px !important; }
div#subnav.item-list-tabs { margin: -15px 0 15px !important; }
table.forum { margin: 0 !important; }`
In reply to: [Resolved] Buddy Press Theme Intergration ???Looks like the forums alignment i.e. sidebar is level with content just like you have with your groups and members. Needs a bit of CSS luv to add spacing between sidebar and content.
In reply to: Unable to Post New Topics to ForumPlease answer some troubleshooting questions posted
@nysom please start a new topic, this thread was about forums in this site. I suggest you include more information in your new topic like:
– do you have group forums installed,
– did you also install the new sitewide forums,
– single WP or WP multisite
– is BP installed in main site or subsite (if MS),
– etc.EDIT – ok, you did start a new topic

See “Change the URL slugs of BuddyPress components:” at https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/changing-internal-configuration-settings/
Better yet, use a language file – https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/In reply to: How to increase activity-avatar image size?Two kinds of avatars in activity stream can be adjusted very simply via CSS
1) For the large avatars – adjust image width and height, then add this to the bottom of your stylesheet
`ul.item-list li img.avatar {
height: 100px;
width: 100px;
}`2) For small avatars with the minor updates, adjust avatar image to preferred height and width then add this at the bottom of stylesheet
`.activity-list li.mini .activity-avatar img.avatar,
.activity-list li.mini .activity-avatar img.FB_profile_pic {
height: 100px;
width: 100px;
}`In reply to: [Resolved] Buddy Press Theme Intergration ???Looks like you’ve fixed alignment on the Community page per link above. Can’t find the url to your forums
In reply to: BP template pack not working@abutterworth Please clarify – are you using
a) child theme of bp-default (your custom child theme or from WP repo or other third party child theme) or
b) child theme of sirup theme you posted above (that’s why you activated BP Template Pack?)
