In reply to: Looking for a "sign up on a list"-plugin
@udgang99 sorry, there’s no BP plugin that does that at this time.
In reply to: [Resolved] Activity Plus Box also on Front Page@bergblume congratulations! 🙂
Marking this topic as resolved. In reply to: Google Map within buddypress posts@bergblume the closest plugin I know is the premium plugin http://shabushabu.eu/release-of-mapology-for-buddypress/ You might want to check out whether the plugin author will be upgrading the plugin for upcoming BP 1.7 first.
In reply to: Registration form@danny80 did you go through the installation wizard after you activated BuddyPress? Also, is Registration enabled in your site? If not, the registration page won’t show up. Site URI?
@p2ab just noticed this topic. Aren’t you working on another theme now?
@unsalkorkmaz may I make a suggestion: please do not update your theme until it has been synced with WordPress Extend Themes. Otherwise, you’d have to wait for another 7 days max before the theme’s live at WP.org
In reply to: Background for the Activity Page@bmccall17 I see that BuddyPress is deactivated in your installation. I will be closing this topic. Create a new topic should you require assistance with BuddyPress. Thanks.
In reply to: Registration button invisible@maphorn site url? Basically you add the changes in your own theme’s style.css file. Do not make changes in /bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/default.css because those changes will be overwritten when you upgrade BuddyPress.
In reply to: Friends only viewing@danspeak12 what specifically are you looking for? xprofile fields can already be set by members to show publicly, for friends only, or for admin only. There’s a plugin to make activity streams show up for friends only https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-activity-for-self-and-friends-only/
In reply to: clicking user name gives "page not found"@m0ld closing this topic. At this time there is only a hostgator landing page. You can start a new topic should the need arise again.
In reply to: GRA4 – BuddyPress plugin or replacement?@panthony54 Yes it is 🙂 Double check wp_options table in database that there’s no GRA4 options lurking around, just in case.
In reply to: Missing Registration form and password lost page@danny80 did you go through the installation wizard after activating BuddyPress? https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installation-wizard/
In reply to: All pages and links appearing in pagesit appears that every link, meta data etc (entire site map) is appearing at the bottom of my groups pages.
@mimip29 sidebar has dropped down below the content. You need to complete Step 3 of the BP compatibility process to a) bring back the sidebar beside the content OR b) remove sidebar and make the BuddyPress Groups/Members/etc pages full width.
Initial scan shows that you only need to create 2 files to make the BP page layouts fit with your theme’s layout.
If you want a page with a sidebar for BP templates: open up page.php, copy all code, paste to pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URI here. Or if you want a full-width page for all BP templates, open up your theme’s full-width template and like page.php post the generated pastebin.com URI here.

In reply to: Avatar Cropping Error@rushster there’s a conflict somewhere. What theme are you using? What other plugins are active in your installation?
In reply to: Change "Buddy Press" Community on top@virtualsouq as much as we’d like to help you, looks more like something you’d add/delete from the Theme Options page. Check salutation’s options page if you’d added something there. The theme author provides support for the premium theme.
In reply to: Enable buddypress on WP multisite's sub site@ortixia replace `$blog_id` with the actual ID number e.g. 3 or 4 etc
In reply to: Group Join Password@brashell61 No worries. I know where you’re coming from. I was just checking out topics which have no replies yet and getting buried under newer topics.
In reply to: [Resolved] Activity Plus Box also on Front Page@bergblume Please also post at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-activity-plus as to why those buttons are not showing up under the status update box
As for getting those to show in the front page, assuming the button visibility issue is resolved, you could try making the Activity page as front page of your site via Settings > Reading
In reply to: Merging groups@cpabramo Sorry, at this time there’s no plugin that can do this for you.
In reply to: WordPress/Buddypress Voting System like Perlmonks@ozgurpolat Thank you for your feedback. I understand where you’re coming from. But comparing Perlmonks and BuddyPress forums is like comparing Apples and Oranges.
Perlmonks, which supports a Programming Language, has been there for around 20 years while BuddyPress Forums, which supports one WordPress plugin, is going on 4+ years. Not that that’s any excuse, but you can see that the awesome folks at Perlmonks have a 15-year headstart and more people power than BuddyPress forum volunteers 🙂
As for some questions not being answered in our forums, I will use the link posted by Perlmonk’s sages http://perl.plover.com/Questions.html
In reply to: Forum Users SupportWhen I add a new user for the subscription, I check “Add the user without sending them a confirmation email,” however it still sends the confirm email although I’ve check not to send.
First thing to do is to check if this is really a BuddyPress issue. Deactivate BuddyPress and “add user without sending them a confirmation email” and check what happens.
In reply to: Change login landingpage@rondena have you checked out https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-login-redirect/ ?
In reply to: Group Member Permissions@jwf3773 what theme are you using? Have you tried reverting to BP Default theme to check if issue is resolved? If not, while on BP Default theme, have you tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress to check which is causing the conflict?
