I have searched BP Documentation, but I can’t figure out where this function is located. @Modemlooper posted information on locating functions 6 years ago, but it seems like that info may be outdated at this point.
He said it was in bp-core-templatetags.php but I can’t find that file on my server. I started searching for the function in random…[Read more]

BuddyBlock costs a ridiculous $29 to allow users to block other users.
I came across an old post in which modemlooper did something similar, only the link to his code is dead:

“if you look through my code starting at line 89 you can see where I’ve removed message button and f…

Henry Wright replied to the topic RtMedia Export script attachments api in the forum Requests & Feedback 9 years, 4 months ago
The reason the BP Attachment API was built was to avoid these problems. It provides a solid foundation for developers to build upon. The API is kind of new (introduced in 2.3), so it’s just waiting for developers to grab hold of it and build things like galleries and albums. One plugin I know that is under development is @modemlooper‘s BP Media.

@modemlooper – In Buddypics users can Favorit a photo in the photo page itself as well as in the Activity stream. If you Favorit in any of these two places it is updated in the other.
If you unfavorite in one place it is updated in the other too. This is how it should work, and it does work in that way. Members remain eternally confused what they…[Read more]

Hi @danbp
This is working perfectly for Buddypics.
I was wondering if it works for Buddypics why it will not work for Blog posts.
So I tried putting the code – it shows Favorit link below blog post but it does not work as it misses a number. If this can be made to work, you can favorit a blog post from both activity stream and the blog post…[Read more] -

Just a couple further thoughts about this, since you guys are re-thinking it:
If you really want people to get into the right sub-forum, why show a long list of topics in the first place? If they’re browsing, they’ll click an interesting-looking topic, and then end up posting their own question in whatever category they find themselves in (or…[Read more]

@modemlooper That’s not a bad idea. I’ll work towards that approach after 2.2 goes out today.

This happened only because of our own wishes for our documentation sites to be an active and thriving representation of everything related to the software, and…[Read more]

I tried what @modemlooper suggested, and there is nothing in that list that allows for underscores to be used. WordPress allows underscores to be used, but BuddyPress does not. I deactivated BuddyPress and was able to register with an ‘_’ underscore in my username. I am working on a hack for this as we speak.

@jerryskate if you could post your filter (what you have in bp-custom) and your body tag (from your header.php) i’ll take a look…

Regarding your answer to @modemlooper‘s suggestion:
I’m using a theme that have buddypess integrated, so that won’t work for me
You should really try to give the bp-custom.php approach a try – I think it’s the solution here.
