In reply to: URGENT!!! PLS HELP -> Add new users from admin
Looking at the plugin’s code they are hiding fields with no value.
In reply to: URGENT!!! PLS HELP -> Add new users from adminI don’t know how you coded your hover card or how it’s getting the profile info but you could code it to show each profile field even if it’s not filled in. Don’t rely on the BP profile field loop. Directly get each field yourself.
`bp_profile_field_data( ‘field=field_name_here’ );`
In reply to: URGENT!!! PLS HELP -> Add new users from adminWhen you add users in the admin the xprofile fields are not present for you to add info. I don’t think there is a way around this unless there is some filter to force all xprofile fields to be shown even if they are empty.
When a user signs up on the front they have the fields shown to fill in. If they do not fill these in then they still wont be shown. It’s worth a possible trac enhancement ticket to include the xprofile fields in the user profile creation step in the WP admin. But even then if you do not fill in each field they will not be shown on a profile
In reply to: URGENT!!! PLS HELP -> Add new users from adminIf the fields are not filled in they don’t show. I’m not seeing this as broken.
In reply to: Adding Dynamic Profile Link to Main Menu ItemI’m a bit confused but the members directory will not show a single users profile. The members page you create in admin is the sites directory for members. The profile page is located after this directory.
/members/ = members directory
/members/[user_name]/ = user profileYou do not create this page. BP knows what page to use when you are on /members/[user_name]/
Do you not have a page when you click a username link on your site?
In reply to: Hide General Settings TabIn BP-default folder you can edit the file members/single/settings/general.php
Just comment out the form for the settings. BTW did you uncheck settings option in admin?
Thanks for the rating.
In reply to: Hide General Settings TabLeave tab active but hide password fields
In reply to: Get name of the creator of a groupTry something like:
`
groups->current_group->creator_id ); ?>
`If you want to add the name to the description field you could use a shortcode with a function to call creator id
In reply to: Making Forum page full screenuse firebug browser plugin to figure out CSS don’t edit core CSS files. alwas use a custom CSS file so you can update themes and plugins without loosing your customization.
contact theme dev and see if it’s updated with current BP and have them work out problem.
In reply to: Adding Dynamic Profile Link to Main Menu ItemYou do not need to create every page. Just the component directories.
Are you using a BP compatible theme?
In reply to: Making Forum page full screenTake page.php or whatever file you’ve created to be full width and copy it. Rename file bbpress.php
bbPress will use this file for its content
In reply to: Adding Dynamic Profile Link to Main Menu ItemPlugin doesn’t create pages. Make sure you’ve created your component pages in wp admin. Settings > BuddyPress > Pages
Not sure, could be JavaScript or a theme issue. Always activate BP default to rule out theme issues. Also deactivate plugins and go through each one.
In reply to: Adding Dynamic Profile Link to Main Menu ItemIn reply to: Making Forum page full screenthere is a full width page template. go to the forum page in Pages menu in the admin and choose full width page template
In reply to: Changing Groups nameThe best way is to create a language file to change all instances
In reply to: Can I search this forum?Use google and add site:buddypress.org to search param
Don’t run cache on activity pages. Content is too dynamic.
In reply to: Reversing the order of forum posts within a topicPass the ‘order’ parameter as DESC.
if ( bp_has_forum_topic_posts( ‘order=DESC’ ) {
The forum topic posts loop can be found in this template:
/bp-default/groups/single/forum/topic.phpIn reply to: fatal erroractivate bp default theme to test if its the theme. If it’s the theme, you may need to update to latest version.

`In reply to: A list with all users (registered and unregistered)Only activated users show in members loop. If the list is for the admin to see you can view the user page in the admin. You could also use a plugin to auto activate users
Code snippet to auto activate
`add_filter( ‘bp_registration_needs_activation’, ‘__return_false’ );`
