Try, I think that fetch function only works in a loop. I’m having similar problems with creating json API and getting avatars. Another option is to write code to cycle through a folder and get the contents. Since each folder is a user id you could get id from activity table and then write a function to get the users images from that folder.

Not that easy, the avatar is not saved in the db. It’s found by user id and a combo of avatar folder urls.

Each user has a folder in avatars with the id of user as name. The avatars image names are created from a hash of the timestamp.

What the heck are you doing that requires 3 months 12 hr days? I built bp mobile plugin over a weekend probably spent 10 – 12 hours max.

I meant to say it’s not a 100% working plugin. I pointed you to it as an example of how to add fields. The fields there are just example and should be removed and replaced with something that works. I plan when I have time to make this plugin work.

The problem with doing it directly is most text is buried in function code and will get over written on plugin upgrade. Plus you can change every instance if the word groups

You change text by creating a custom language file. Check the codex docs, there is a tutorial

delete the plugin and re install, you must have removed the navigation code.

When you guys have problems you need to provide links to your sites as issues could be caused by many things. Just saying it’s not working provides developers with nothing to base a reply on.

Check with the theme developer and make sure their “pack” is up to date.

BP allows you to do whatever you want with the software, fb is under control. That’s a HUGE difference. But if you want a fb clone do it, no stopping you, I’m just making suggestions and encouraging people do “think different”

My point is, if Apple had made phones like everyone else by copying they would not have succeeded in becoming the most powerful technology company in the world. Also, Facebook copied others before them but took those ideas and presented them in a better more efficient manner.

The point of BuddyPress is not to create a fb like system. We do not need fb clones. BuddyPress provides a method to create unique ways of social interaction. Sure the out of the box example is a social network but this is only one way to use the software.

If you enable multi site in WordPress you can install BuddyPress on a secondary blog.
