    Thanks for this, though I’m a little unsure as to how to implement. Could you help with an explanation on what line to use the page per parameter? And where would I find this file?

    Thank you again!

    To followup, cometchat replied that their plugin won’t interfere with BP’s DM functionality, and in other words that even at their lowest price tier you can have both. We are going to implement on a site and will followup here on results. Thank you everyone on this thread!

    As you know, with Buddypress users see an email whenever someone sends them a message and they are offline. We have asked repeatedly to your support if Cometchat overrides BP’s direct messaging function at the basic pricing tier? Because Cometchat email notifications are according to your pricing menu are only available to the highest tier Enterprise pricing and that would cost $12,000 US per year! This functionality is something that Buddypress already does, free, so if CometChat ove rides this functionality then we cannot pay you $12,000 to get it back. Are we missing something? We have tried to ask your support this question but have not received a response. Thank you.

    I’m not sure what @dyrasan is asking either, but it did prompt me to ask at follow-up question @venutius, could you recommend an embed plugin or strategy? User video uploads are taking too much of of the server and now I thinking that embedding is a better strategy using an independent host for just videos, what are your thoughts? Thank you very much!

    Thanks Venutius! Do you know if it will work with BuddyBoss Media plugin? I guess we could try it with the staging site, but wanted to ask?

    Could anyone give experiences or comparisons between iFlyChat and BP Better Messages? I need a solution that gives users the ability to have private chats and group chats with the ability to send attachments. Iflychat is expensive (if including the group chat option) and I’m concerned about the logging of private information, BP Better Messages seems like a good option but I wanted to get feedback first. Alternatively, if anyone has experience with any other solutions, that would be really appreciated too.

    I couldn’t find that in the documentation. Thank you so much, this is a really helpful clarification. I really appreciate the help!

    I did look at it, but it doesn’t seem to give an option to exclude private group activity, I’m I correct? If so, is there any work around? Thank you!

    Sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Have you tried checking both? If you need more help, let me know.

    Is this a bug or is there some workaround? Thanks!

    Just to be clear, on the drop down ‘last active’ after the first page it won’t give members in order, just random. I want to either add more members per drop down page, or fix the issue. Thanks!

    Will do. Thanks again!

    It’s exactly what I’m looking for @Venuitus but the reviews are indicating it’s not working and it’s not updated, any other suggestions on a plugin that does essentially the same thing but might be more up to date?

    I tried to signup and yes it failed. Did you reset email? tools>buddypress>reset email Otherwise it looks like a plugin conflict to me. I would deactivate one by one. Also, deactivate 15zine and try twentyseventeen

    The issue seems to be a caching problem on the server. When running tests on this new site, and switching between test users, the path to the prior user’s inbox was being used and triggering the BP warning message. I would suggest if you have this issue you clear the cache of your server, of course clear your browser history too, and then check the path generating the message. The last part, was something I initially overlooked. I hope this is helpful and thank you again @venutius for your help!

    Any tips on how to reset database?

    Yes.

    Yes, I deactivated all plugins to see if it was a conflict. Any idea where this message my be coming from? Should I try to uninstall and reinstall BP? Any other suggestions would be really appreciated. Thank you!

    See message at link. Occurs whenever a member sends another member a message. Deactivated all plugins, still occurring?

    Thank you

    Here the best fix I could come up with:

    Appearance > child theme > style.css

    .single-item.groups .custom-header .custom-header-media {
    position: absolute !important;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    height: auto;
    }

    I don’t like using !Important to override css does anyone have any more feedback or ideas on this or a more artful solution?

    @dggerhart I was able to register for your site without a confirmation email and post “test” comment to your general group. Enabling email confirmation to register will help. Using a checkbox for your Privacy Policy GDPR compliance, is needed and will help too. I would give the Honeypot plugin a try on your staging site (disclaimer, I don’t use, and it’s old) but what it does is pretty simple so it could be ok. Admin notification of new users will help. Manually checking email addresses and questionable profiles (if you have more profile fields) will eliminate the obvious spammers and most are obvious. You can manually approve new users if that won’t be overwhelming. On a different note, you might want to block your dashboard access and you have some html tags displaying. Also a registration menu item (it was hard to figure out how to register) are some things I noticed too. I hope you find this helpful

    Deactivated all plugins, except BP, but still loses header formatting, Groups>group page?
