Sorry that the plugin isn’t working in WP3. I’ll see if I can get some time to fix it. Your patience is very much appreciated.

Sorry for the bug in Demo Data Creator that stopped the menu item appearing. I’ve fixed it in the latest version (0/9/7/2) just sent to the plugin SVN. It should be available soon.

Thanks Andy, I’ll try to use that syntax in the plugin.

@chembro303 and @amigolargo: The Demo Data menu item is under “Tools” in standard WordPress. Let me know if you still have problems (I keep a closer eye on the WP forums, but I’ll try to remember to check here as well).

I’m not sure how far Andy’s got will this, but the code I donated to him earlier in the year allows user to assign tags to their friends (i.e. “friend”, “family”, “drinking buddy” etc). The user can then allow permissions for friends with certain tags to view different parts of their profile.

This is working pretty well on http://myjournal.com, and I’m happy to help implement this for BuddyPress too.

It may already be in there, I’m embarrassingly behind the times with my copy of BP.

I’ll help as well. In fact I said I’d look at the whole of both themes with a view to making them more modular and easy to style. That will include IE fixes, microformats etc.

    I just need time…

Looks great Andy! One thing I noticed: the “What’s hot” link for blog posts – is there going to be some kind fo rating system (or is there one already I’ve missed)?

Actually, looking at this and the similarities with the default profile template I see quite a few opportunities to create site-wide style templates which may be edited by users. Think: changing the background and text colour for your blog, but keep the actual layout etc.
