@Pisanojm – for those of us with TweetStream and FaceStream installed – will this be an upgrade? Can we import from these two products? Or is it best to “just start fresh” by removing the two earlier products and install BuddyStream?

@nahummadrid bb forums are leaving BuddyPress to become a WordPress plugin. This might open more opportunities to customize it. What QA theme are you using or is it from scratch?

@nahummadrid Interesting. I’m finding two paths for BuddyPress sites people are creating. Blogging Networks and Social Networks. These are two entirely separate theme requirements.

The copy/paste thing seems not to be an issue, it still limits the length of the entry correctly. I’ve tried styling it a bit, it’s a work in progress. The site is not launched just yet and I’m working under an NDA, but I’ll let you know. 🙂

@nahummadrid the ‘notice for all users’ only places the message in the sidebar for logged in members to see unfortunaelt.
I too would be interested in a ‘message all’ plugin if anyone knows of one?

@nahummadrid i did try disabling/enabling blog tracking. No change. I have not tried de/reactivating BP. I will try that now.

What @nahummadrid said – those blogs set to privacy settings “Allow visitors but not visible to Google” and above – if you’re using more privacy options plugin where you have three more privacy settings – won’t be seen in Blogs directory.

@nahummadrid Yes, that is some of what I was looking for. Thing is that it still only shows the standard gravatar, not the uploaded user profile image. That image was uploaded through the BP change avatar dialog on the main site ie. http://site.com and seems not to show up on the users own blog at http://blog.site.com. […]
