In reply to: Lenght of Activitystream
you can simple put the followung code into your theme function.php without editing core file.
/*Change the number of activity items to show per page */
`function my_custom_query_filter( $query_string ) {
$query_string .= ‘&per_page=11’;
return $query_string;
}
add_filter( ‘bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring’, ‘my_custom_query_filter’ );`worked for me
@Alan, or can someone please help me look at this code to know if something is wrong, have tried it and everything seems ok if the member did not add the “country field” as it shows the link and take you to the edit page, but immediately you input the field “Country” e.g “UK” and save, it breaks both Admin bar and the Sidebar.
@Alan, i will try it and if i run into any problem , i will let you know.
regards
I think it could be achieved by adding an empty checking which i have no clue. i think something loke “if empty return” could do.

In reply to: Members’ privacy: how can I hide members’ profiles?You have to create a child theme by yourself.
follow this steps. https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
In reply to: re-word ‘what’s new’@kenny, its better you create a child theme as when you upgrade the default theme which you are currently using, you will loose most of your customization.
see my site : http://www.naijaping.com/

In reply to: Letting the user upload a custom background?what a nice plugin, just tried it and it work like a charm. but i will prefer if it can change the colour of the container rather than the site background.
@dubsel, which plugin are you using for your sitewide activities which shows at your sidebar widget? i mean The Wet Activities. it look so cool
@naved, post a link to your website please.
If you are talking about the login / sign up at the admin bar, just put the following code in your function.php and it will be removed.
remove_action( ‘bp_adminbar_menus’, ‘bp_adminbar_login_menu’, 2 );
In reply to: Improper group members displayed?Hi, am very sure that the rest members you cant see are spam or they did not activate their account via the activation key sent to them. it has happened to me before. firstly go to wp admin, and go to users, then check how many users you can see. if it is 523.
