Hi @normen,
The problem with adding a group home is that, it breaks activity posting. I think it’s best to use the Group Extension API widget function by tweaking the active theme.

Thanks for this great Plugin BP Unread Posts. Do you think it is possible to add a function that when we make a click to read/unread mark, to open the last unread post from the topic?

  You can use BuddyPress Group Forum Extras for that.

    Yes, but why should I add that to this plugin? Look at the code in BP Group Forum extras and just remove the part where it adds the post number.

Ahhh thanks. The reason why I was doing it that way was that, following the instructions on screen resulted in the plugin attempting to install bbpress, instead of updating the database. I tried it again, this time installing wp and whatnot into the same database as smf, followed the procedures to the letter. It worked for the most part.…[Read more]

Pardon me. I was hasty and forgot to say:
Yes, I did the database upgrade *after* importing the data. Would be silly not to. The upgrade only seems to work on 3.0.2 and 1.2.6, which is odd. The screenshot of the last post if from when I click on a group’s forum tab.

@normen Hi there. I’ve been trying to migrate from smf to wp+bp and, while this plugin manages to import things, it doesn’t quite work.

How I went about it:
Fresh install of wordpress (3.0). Activate Buddypress 1.2.4.

  You’re dong it wrong. Do it exactly as said in the admin page. Dont activate the bbpress forums before, you have to “import existing bbpress install” *after* you have imported the data and upgraded your database.

@normen Hi Normen, ich hab Schwierigkeiten mit Deinem Importer, hab da was gepostet zu… ich würde auch gern ein smf zu buddypress konvertieren, allerdings klappt das nicht so sauber… ich bastel gerne selber rum am code, aber vielleicht kannst Du mir einige Hinweise geben, insbesondere zu den auftauchenden Fehlermeldungen?
