@pcwriter As you probably know I’m using WordPress MU and I just noticed that when I’m in one the subdomains the default “community” drop down links navigates to the subdomains instead of the main blog. So for example it goes to http://subdomain.site.com/blogs/ instead of http://site.com/blogs/ . This means that users can’t navigate to thier…[Read more]

@pcwriter Thanks, its been a long road to get to this point with it. lol. Also, I really appreciate the help. The only issue is I added the code and I can use the horizontal offset now in the plugin but it doesn’t really accomplish what I am looking for. I was hoping to use text-align: […]

@pcwriter – Is this in a child theme from bp-default? Have you checked the file path is correct to your custom.css file? Do an inspect element in your browser and check the path bloginfo is generating – is it the one you expect? Also, not sure what you mean by it “it defaults to bp-default/_inc/css/default” … […]

@pcwriter Great plugin. I have two quick questions. I have a custom theme and I’m having problems centering the admin bar. I have not problems with the vertical just the horizontal. I tried the php above which helped but it keeps the first link to the left side of the theme. Ideally I would have the […]

@pcwriter thank you for recommending @boonebgorges ‘ plugin. It’s easy to modify and reduces the amount of o_O reactions from users on my site.

@pcwriter Here is what it looks like after I changed it to your recommendations. Here is what it looks like before, with the horizontal offset setting in place. See that scroll bar? This is what it looks like on the mac. The page is stretched out so that the background color (blue), is visible. I shouldn’t […]

@pcwriter I tried out what you said, and the menu bar is back to the left side of the screen. It took away the bottom scroll bar on the web page though, which is what I was trying to figure out. I’m thinking that because I had the horizontal offset setting to 130, it pushed the […]

I will try to edit my nav bar to your recommendations and see if that fixes it. If I have no luck, then I’ll post a pic to help you see what I’m talking about.
Thanks again!

ouch… really didn’t mean to be rude… I’ve deleted it myself in good faith. My thought was not to hijack, didn’t I put a link in my thread? Is that hijacking? I wasn’t expecting any further comments on thread regarding this, just also show people my topic. If I broke a code, honestly I don’t read the terms of…[Read more]

Depending on your intention it could be quite rude to hijack a thread like that. In any forum. Seemed a bit like standing inside a McDonalds as a Burger King employee, telling people that the whopper tastes so much better than a big mac and drawing them a map to the next Burger King. To me anyways…
It’s got nothing to do with the Events…[Read more]

I’m going to steer clear of doing that sort of thing from now on, but it wasn’t with bad intentions at all.
you’re welcome on my topic π I’m just asking for ideas before i dive in….

I’m afraid a hijack it was, putting a link in the post tended to harden that fact. generally hijacking or taking a thread off tangent is any post or comment that deviates from the original OP’s starting post

To be honest, I found the reference to being spammy a little harsh… that’s all, because I hate spammers! I only posted the link to my topic as it was on the same topic and offered a different solution. I guess everyone has a certain tolerance before something becomes spammy, but given I just posted a link in one topic I thought it was ok.

It worked!! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!
