Hey thanks for this plugin! It works fine if multisite is enabled, but because it adds the action after the blog details section, the question doesn’t show when using BuddyPress with regular wordpress. So I amended my copy to do this and now it works π — Just a suggestion! Please let me know if I’m missing something…[Read more]

Hello, I have a site that is running WPMU 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.3. Friend requests don’t work from the /requests page. When clicking on accept or reject, I get the error: Friendship could not be accepted. My error logs say this: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use […]

Not sure yet. I think it still works, but you’d have to try to verify. There is actually another plugin out there that does something very similar to it and a bit more – so I’d have to have a look at that first. Mine might not be necessary anymore. π Can’t remember the name of the other one right now.

@satanas147 Thanks for that. I did not think about people who don’t have Friends enabled. I will add that to the next version.

This fix worked for me: Go to: phpmyadmin > yourdatabase > wp_bp_groups_groupmeta Find the group youβre attempting to post to and then delete the forum_id value. Go back to your group on the front end. When logged in as admin of the group, go to settings and re-enable your forums. It will save a new […]

The plugin has been added to the WP repository. You can find it here with a few updates: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-sliding-login-panel/

Not sure how to do that. You’d probably need to change the jQuery that handles the slide down. It’s not a common request, as most people implement the panel to save space on the page.

@jeremyltn Are you going to add your plugin to the repo? I tested it out tonight on WP 3.0 and BP 1.2.4.1 and it didn’t work for me. So I changed the post URL and then it works. However, it updates the page with a warning about headers already having been sent from the BuddyPress messaging […]

Thanks everyone for testing it! If you’re having strange issues with your theme, then it’s probably something to do with your theme. I have made sure that it works with the default theme, but beyond that you may need to make some tweaks for your particular situation. I’ve also updated the plugin in recent days […]

Hey no problem. I specifically left out blogs and forum type links because not every site has those enabled for users. Glad you found it easy to customize. Thanks for giving it a try! π

Hey guys, new fun plugin available for BuddyPress: http://wpmu.org/new-sliding-ajax-login-panel-plugin-for-buddypress/ I have no idea when the repo will approve it, so I thought I’d mention it here in case anyone is looking for something like this. There are lots of tutorials for making sliding login panels, but some can be complicated to…[Read more]

Thanks for the observation, I had intended this plugin to help with the fight against Spam Blogs, which means WPMU. I did not even consider using it for regular single wp buddypress. I will do some testing and get it working with both.
I like the cat, mine is 19 = OLD
Thank You!
Thanks! Wow that’s an ancient kitty! π
Thanks Adam, hoping this will finally do the trick to stop spammers! I’m also using it without blog creation so was going to post my solution, but Sarah got it π
I still get 3 or so spam blogs every couple days, but I can deal with that, compared to the 20 a day I was getting. Previously I tried using the .htaccess rewrites and captcha’s but they did not reduce the spam, I had to try something. Thanks, and thanks to Sarah.
