OK, better question, anybody successsfully deactivate their BBpress forums and successfully activate the buddypress sitewide for forums? I am using worpress 3.4 + Buddypress 1.5.2 and here is an example of my site from the bbpress install:

OK found it opening the css file:
div.item-list-tabs ul li a span {

-moz-border-radius: 3px;
-webkit-border-radius: 3px;

transparent?OK through google chrome examination of elements, I was able to find the default .css on my FTP
Let’s see what I can do ……………Hi Thanks for getting back to me! I am in google chrome and inspecting the element………..
OH, you are totally right! Thanks for pointing that out!
OK…..I have my website back. At least now I can try to figure out how to restore groups on the page
I deleted it and am in the control panel………………will try to re-install plugin…crossing my fingers….
will try this…………….thanks for responding!!!!!!!
hmm, I would also like to be able to post videos beyond the oembed plugin( which is a great plugin by RAY BTW) accepted video platforms such as youtube etc……
I second your idea! I am not a .php code poet, but my members would love to have that option.
Hey Robin! I also migrated from Ning to Buddypress. You will find the forum participants/moderators here to be quite responsive and informative. In fact, I have received hints from generous forum moderators that were very helpful in getting my blog setup. Basically, any question you search for on google with regard to setting up wordpress/ buddypress many times will point to this site. You will find that other people have asked similar questions and received answers from those who already know how to do it.
If you can get someone to help you set up a wordpress blog/website, then you can become accustomed to the admin control panel for wordpress. From there you can install the buddypress plugin and get your social network up and running. Ning webmasters still have till July to move it or lose it, so you have time to learn the wordpress/buddypress stuff.
Hey PCwriter,
Yes that it is an excellent plugin and I’m using it to embed youtube videos etc. Wasn’t sure if there was a way to embed .swf files directly from my server………
Ray! I have just installed your oembed plugin and it is working fine on my forums on buddypress!
Is there any way to resize the youtube video size which embeds through your plugin?
Perhaps some way of centering it on the forum page?

ok, I think I am almost there…… I have css style sheet for buddypress here:
/*
Theme Name: PEP New Theme
Theme URI: http://www.privateenglishportal.com/
Description: This is the WPMU + BuddyPress theme customized specially for privateenglishportal.com
Version: 1.0
Author: Tejaswini
Author URI: http://www.clickonf5.org/
Tags: buddypress, fresh
Template: bp-default
*/
@import url( _inc/css/default.css );
@import url( _inc/css/adminbar.css );
@import url( _inc/css/custom.css );and style sheet for main MU page is much longer, wasn’t sure where to paste your code.
Thx
Steve
Ray! Thanks! I just got it to work . Faaaaaaabulous.
There is one issue with the Forum title being larger in text size than the field can take. http://privateenglishportal.com/forumsTEXT.jpg
Any ideas how I could change that?Thanks so much!
Steve
PS. In response to your question, I had no prior bbpress installed prior. This was a first time install onto my Worpress MU/Buddypress
Thanks Ray! I was successful at installing BBpress forums by making sure that file was cut and pasted to my root directory.
Admin panel on wordpress says that bbpress forums has been successfull integrated into buddypress.
Sadly I can’t get it to show up on my groups tab nor my header on my page.
I was able to get the forums by typing in the following address:
http://privateenglishportal.com/forums
When I try to post new topic, everything just disappears as if I had posted nothing.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,
Steve
