This does seem like a reasonable idea. The problem with it is that I have a user base already established and this would mean i would have to translate data into the new fields. I’ll definitely keep this in mind as a last resort though. Thank you for the input.

Does anyone else have an idea?

Did you figure out how to do this? I tried directly editing the db and didn’t get any changes.

even if it’s just adding the @mention to the post as is done here (ie under myusername redknite, then participant, then @ redknite. Can someone tell me how to activate that?

My site is www . fishwire.net and i’m using worpdress 3.5.1 buddypress 1.7-beta2 and bbpress 2.3rc1 . Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. You noticed what I did, it appears to be a js problem. I have deactivated all my plugins except the buddpress. (my regular slider is a custom slider: not a plugin) and still i get the error. If i active a slider plugin, that slider doesn’t work either. No other plugins are causing this error. If i activate all other plugins and leave buddypress off both the sliders work.

I’ve looked online and see a lot of people are having this problem, but there has been no solutions posted that I have found.

I appreciate your help though, are there any other ideas you think might work?

I updated my bbpress to the 2.3rc1 too. Thanks for the heads up.

Lastly, do you have suggestion for a different poll program?

its a custom theme. The theme isn’t the problem though. Buddy press is stopping the slider. When I do a search for this problem it comes up all over that buddypress is stopping slider images because it’s overwriting js. I haven’t found a solution to this issue…can you help with that?
