I was able to change the slug using the following code

$bp->bp_options_nav[$bp->groups->current_group->slug]['home']['name'] = 'Activity';

how do i change the URL from domain.com/groups/groupname/home/ to domain.com/groups/groupname/activity/

@danbp thanks for your reply. Have already checked that plugin but I can’t get it to work with latest bp install

I tried using BP Group Hierarchy Plugin and bp group announcement plugin to not allow users to join. Don’t require this 2 plugins per se on my bp site.

Any inputs plz

Check if you got php gd installed on your server..my guess is you need it installed on your server

In wp settings allow user registration

In bp settings in pages section select correct page for specific bp component

By the way how did you get https working on your site home page?

Use Multi site WordPress install for that. If you want same use base but separate activity stream then use the following plugin

1. Use BP Xtra Signup plugin and add an xprofile field of birth date

2. Not sure on this but this plugin might help Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields

That plugin is working fine on a bp site of mine for past 1 year
