Get a bp supported theme!!!
have a seperate user icons or cover images
“heavy traffic sites WordPress and plugins will struggle with a bottle neck being caused”
Kindly explain the above in detail as to how your external php developer reached to this conclusion? If he can specify the bottlenecks would help
PS: i do run couple of BP+WC enabled sites and it does have tangible traffic and i dont find it slow or sluggish
Would suggest u hire buddycore if he’s willing that would help
you need to ask this at wooffice theme support
you need to hire a developer for the facebook part of your requirements…rest all is doable by buddypress
lucio463 regarding rtmedia plugin they collect stats….that is optional and can be turned off…and i dont think so they steal any data in the first place and am using bp followers plugin for quite some years now
magicvish its the forum….you want to stop users from creating new topic in a forum!!! this forum is via bbpress and gets attached to bp groups
so either modify the templates i told u or as buddycore told u
forum.php of your theme file in child theme which u are using and remove
<?php post_form(); ?>
also edit, in both forum.php and front-page.php
<th><?php _e(‘Topic’); ?> — <?php bb_new_topic_link(); ?></th>
to become
<th><?php _e(‘Topic’); ?></th>
try the front end of the group..click on admin in the group and u can manage ur group from there
i think buddyboss people would help u more on this as its their theme
would suggest you use wp spam shield its quite effective imo
what is ur permalink structure in the general settings tab?
that default email of events would be in events manager plugin i believe do check that plugin out
i guess u need one more plugin along with that..not sure though on your requirements
check this..gives a video tutorial
Setup BuddyPress Member Types on KLEO theme
i think u just need to add a code to wp-config.php or bp-custom.php…its mentioned somewhere in codex or forums
mentioned by danbp on this forum couple of days back kindly search
check this @daragott …. danbp has given live examples
2.2 Member Types – Setting user member types during registration (xProfile)
this is a paid plugin
BuddyPress Member Types
this is a free plugin by brajesh
BuddyPress Xprofile Member Type Field
just google “buddypress member types” this would be in top 10 results
maybe they are using a custom register page plz raise this issue with them
ROFL I apologize this is the best can suggest with my limited knowledge
Widget is not needed..user selects model or fan and gets the respective fields displayed…you need to spend a bit more time on this honestly speaking
not sure about instagram but have a look at the features/faq of that plugin
which theme u using?
i use rtmedia plugin and it allows me to set the size.
@r-a-y thanks a lot for this appreciate it
