Thanks! I was worried because even the search box above wasn’t helping me. But as you mentioned, Google is indexing these pages VERY FAST. That’s good.

Maybe as a stopgap arrangement you could consider placing a Google site search box around here. Just a suggestion

I am not looking for group invites…but rather listing groups on registration page so that the user can choose (multiple) groups to join while registering. Perhaps I should have been clearer about that.

I know BP Group Hierarchy doesn’t do anything on registration page. What I was saying was I will use hierarchical groups via BP Group Hierarchy. So I need a solution that can deal with that…i.e. if there were a solution that listed groups on registration page, I would need one with a collapsible tree to reflect group hierarchy.

I haven’t installed BP yet…just trying to get my concerns addressed before I make the move

I suspected that the register button would appear on top right of my WP site, ruining it

Thanks, mercime, but the link is not even close to what we are discussing (what I am discussing, anyway).

What I’m after is a search page (not search results page) that allows selecting certain values for certain fields and search on the basis of that.

e.g. I may have 3 custom fields
Marital status: Single, Divorced, Separated, Widow/Widower, Married (dropdown)
Country: (freeform or dropdown)
Favorite ice-cream flavor: (freeform)

Then I want a search page where a visitor can see all fields, including custom fields
Marital status (checkboxes)
Country (checkboxes or freeform)
favorite ice cream flavor (freeform)

and can search for users who
are (single) OR (widower)
AND
are in (germany) OR (austria)
AND
like (rocky road)
flavor ice cream

I am already registered at testbp.

The concern is that I when I ask questions here, how do I keep track? If some questions are not answered for a few days, how do I find them again upon my visit to these pages, say, in a week?

I thought about changing language files, but my fear is that when BP is updated, these files will be overwritten. Is this not the case?
