it isnt absolutely needed i just think it’s a great plugin and suffusion was a great theme. the fact i spent so much time on suffusion is what made me reluctant to change theme. but i see options are limited. i do now need to keep the BP as people are use to it now….so i guess my problem is solved.
i think you for that and have been @ the support there as well…i didnt just assume this to be an issue with BP i was coovering all possible realms. when posted this to the support there i recieved this message from the theme creator them self. i dont want i to be assumed that i am throwing this weight on BP.

BP issues are a lot tougher to address for me, because it is a part of a separate plugin, and because I don’t use BP myself. I am currently in the middle of a big release of Suffusion itself and I will pick up BP issues after that.

after this message i felt lost or rather abandonded. so i returned to BP just to see if anyone could possibly be of help…i also went to word press forum….now i understand that i have exhausted all my possible areas of help. and still im stuck here….i apologize if this whole thing has become an issue i just wanted you to see i havent just been @ BP for help…..
thank you for everything. although i am a noob i have been able t do almost anything i was instructed with ease. this create a group issue is to much. for now i have just created a custom menu for creating a group with the permalink “http://sob-s.com/groups/create/step/group-details/” in this case it works fine on my site. im just wondering whats missing that i can create a custom menu and it works…………..i will figure a way to tweak this or eventually someone will understand “what im asking”……..again sorry for all the frustration from the “noob”…….i just wanted my users to be able to create a group and they nor i couldnt. thanks again for everything
yeah… this is no issue with bp default theme (except for the fact that if you click “groups” in the “adminbar” you wont see the create group link).
so basically i can only use bp with a bp default theme.
everything with BP works fine on my site using my child theme for suffusion except (group creation). using BP default was never an issue i just mention the “admin bar” issu because you suggested i switch theme to bp default.
can you please look @ my site without using the BP default them and see if you can recognize a possible issue.
Sorry if im aggravating or this topic is frustrating…..this has been on going and i’ve been dealing with this stress for a long time. my determination is only because i truly like BP.
when using the bp default theme i can access “create a group” in the main nav bar. however it acts the same if i try accessing it in the “bp-admin bar” (no group creation button.) could there be a problem with just the bp admin bar

yes it is correct there is no index.php file in the group folder of my BP plugin folder
Hello all, I have been trying for over a month to get my “create a group” button to appear and work. NO LUCK…even with all the help.
if i type the “www.mysite.com/groups” in the address bar i can find this section. however, it is not on my site or groups section.
then in BP compatibility it say – “You may want to add new navigation tabs or links to your theme to link to BuddyPress directory pages. The default set of links are:”
you were activated already….i saw you as a users in dashboard. another issue i suffer from. people are registering and are being approved without having to use the activation code. but i get a lot of messages saying the link doesnt work. when i check my “users” in dashboard they are listed as approved?
thank you…but know i have no albums link in the BP menu, lol….and im scared to get 1. is there an alternative to this problm i can fix for users to be able to upload and share photos, videos, and audio?

wow….i cant see it by default neither can users. if i use a BP theme i still cant see the “create a group” option or link or w/e tech term there is…basically there is no way to create a group on my site using BP. however if i switch theme to a BP default and type in the search bar of a BP theme i will see my create a grouo option on the right of the page “ONLY IF TYPE IT IN THE SEARCH OPTION OF A bp THEME (bp default or BP columns,)”
also i can not access any of my BP pages in the search bar of my site. if i go to the BP nav bar and use the menu there everything works (except, create a group)
yup…it sent me to a subscribe page on every click. i am also using suffusion theme (www.sob-s.com). you may need to add “suffusion BP template pack” or Bp deault template pack for it to work………
im also new here so if it doesnt work you may prefer to wait on professional consulting. just trying to add my 2 cents and hope it works for ya
