In reply to: BBPress Intergration Trouble
the error log is probably in the root directory & should show you what is breaking the site.
As bbPress is installed correctly, it looks like it is a problem with the BuddyPresss theme with either incorrect php or calling an undefined/incompatible function.
What version of PHP is your server running?
In reply to: BBPress Intergration TroubleSorry, thought you had installed it yourself incorrectly.
Have a look at your error logs, looks like there is a problem with a function being called that is killing the rest of the site.
In reply to: BBPress Intergration TroubleYou installed bbPress in your WordPress plugins directory which shouldn’t be done.
Either let BuddyPress install bbPress for you or install bbPress in it’s own directory.

@David Lewis, thanks, Media Template having serious latency issues this week, hopefully the speed issues are a bit better now.
@Andrea_r, thanks, wait till 1.2 gets released so it can include any bug fixes, but no probs then.

In reply to: American Idol fan site using BuddyPress 1.2presume my last post got caught in the spam que because of two links, so will avoid this time.
The parent theme is Justin Tadlocks Theme Hybrid & the child theme is down to Patrick of developdaly.com.
I just added the BuddyPress reguired functions to my child theme, loving the functionality of BuddyPress 1.2, still some CSS needing to be worked out, but am happy to share the theme/code if wanted
In reply to: American Idol fan site using BuddyPress 1.2@Symm2112 its using Justin Tadlocks Hybrid as parent theme and a blend of the Malleable child theme from Patrick of http://developdaly.com/
In reply to: American Idol fan site using BuddyPress 1.2the reason for only 2 members is because I have only just put buddypress on the site
In reply to: Convert a WordPress Theme to a BuddyPress ThemeIt’s actually quite easy with BuddyPress 1.2, just requires cutting some stuff from the default BuddyPress child template functions, adding them to your own theme functions & some CSS edits.
I will be happy to post a howto once BuddyPress 1.2 comes out of beta if it helps.

In reply to: Testing new theme, Hybrid as a parentIf anyone else wants to test out a BuddyPress Hybrid child theme, let me know.
Nice & simple integration & seems to work perfectly, just needs a few css tweaks.
In reply to: Testing new theme, Hybrid as a parentIt’s a Hybrid child theme, just added some buddypress functions to the hybrid child functions.php and added the required template files to the child theme.
Hybrid Black was just a rename I did of the http://malleable.developdaly.com/ theme while I tweaked it.
It still needs a proper name, css edits & testing, but feel feel free to PM me if yo are happy to try out & work on getting it working as it should.
