  • Thank you…

Thank you r-a-y for the link to the plugin. It is very great, but this has still nothing to do with my request. On the main Admin Site of each group I have the tab “Change details” where I can set the group name and description. Below this I have “Inform members about changes by E-Mail”, which I can set to Yes or No. But when I set it to Yes, it automaticalls goes back to No.

Sorry, but I dont think that a plugin is responsible for this option, I do not remember a plugin that sends group updates by mail. That must be a feature of Buddypress…

How can I switch to WPMU?

    No one an idea?

I tried the following now: I deactivated all Plugins, also Buddypress. Then I tried to upload an image to the Mediathek in the Adminarea of WordPress, but I get the same error, that I get in Buddypress with Avatars. So I think this is not a Buddypress Issue, but I do not understand where this issue came from and how to fix this? Do you have one more idea?

What should I do exactly? Deactivate all plugins, overwrite all files on the server and then activate all the plugins again? When it fails I should overwrite the 1.2.6 files with the files from 1.2.5.2? Does it come to problems when doing this? What I found out is that I also can not upload images in BP Album…

I contacted my server support: They said that everything is okay with the server and that maybe the script causes the issue. I am now a little bit frustrated and angry that I updated to 1.2.6. ! Do you have any other ideas what I could do?

I dont know how to find out who the owner of the directories is? On the permalinks page I only can change the structure, nothing else. I do not really know what you mean, what I have to do on this page.

I tried to deactive all plugins except Buddypress and activated the Buddypress Default Theme. Same issue with that! I cant believe that this is a server issue, because the avatar pics still exist and it problem came up since I updated…

@hnla: Thanks for your reply. I am a newbie in WordPress & Buddypress, so some things are very difficult for me. I only made the upgrade to 1.2.6 by the automatic upgrade not by FTP. The Server is a Virtual Server Managed, so I can control nothing by myself but it works like a normal server not like a shared hoster. I made no changes to the file permissions and to the server, I only made the upgrade and installed a new plugin called “Invite Anyone” and sendt 5 Invitations with that. On my next visit on the site, all Avatars where gone, but they are still on the server in their folders.

Can nobody help me with this. It is very important for me to fix this issue. Its a live site and the avatars of all groups and members are gone, but they are still on the server. Please help me with this…

I have done this, but got no reply. It is very very importan for me to fix this as soon as possible. I cant believe that I am the only one with this problem…

I have the same now after the newest BP Update. All avatars are gone and when I want to upload one I get the message that the folder may be does not have the correct permissions, but it has! Any ideas?

No one an idea. I can’t believe that I am the only one, who would like to do something like that…

Thank you very much for that link. I will try it later at home. I hope it works…

I wrote the author an email, with the contact button on the homepage, but did not get an answer. On the page and its forum its no more possible to register, so it’s a little bit difficult to get support…Do you have an idea?

gPress is a very good plugin, but it does not work, because no menue options in the admin panel are clickable. I dont know why…?

No one here who knows how to fix this?

What kind of plugin is it going to be? When do you want to release it?

I also tried to translate the .po file with PoEdit. How can I enable to use this translated file?

    No more ideas?

Still the same with the message for the lowercase letters. Also the Header graphic has been replaced to its default header and not the header from the installed style…

Does no one use this plugin and can help me?

@techguy: Thanks for your link. I first tried the entry “preg_match( “/[a-zA-Z0-9]+/”, $user_name, $maybe );” in the file bp-core-signup.php, but it did not work. Then I opened the file functions.php! The content of the file was only:
So I tried to delete this and replace with code of r-a-y, but the effect was that the code was shown over the header graphic. Then I tried to enter the code before the closing “?>”, but I get the same message, that only lowercase letters are allowed. I am using the plugin “bp-xtra-signup”. Is that plugin the problem or am I doing something wrong?

@paulhastings0: Thank you very much for your reply. It works very fine…
