@conceptfusion if the following gets implemented, it won’t slow down development for either WP or WPMU.

Andy said he will look at this for you, but I would imagine that the way the URL’s are handled wasn’t something that was part of the original functionality and now it is time to look at it
> 2 weeks but < 6 months should be about right
Good old Spaceballs eh John!
I have a feeling the only version that works now is on Andy’s test computer and will not be released for awhile!
Maybe not standard URL’s from SEO plugin might break BP. Have to ask Andy if that is the case.
I have an email coming your way once gmail starts working. Check out your permalinks structure though as it doesn’t seem to be the same as a normal install though…
Trent
I just did a clean install with latest SVN and can’t replicate this…hmm.
Sorry Brian, I am not sure what you mean exactly. You mean the comment not showing in sitewide feed or what exactly? You mean in the buddypress-home theme?
You can be sure they will not be worked on until after the official 1.0 release.
If you are not using the “buddypress-home” theme, it requires that you drop in some of the files that are in that theme to display each plugin. I don’t know off the top of my head which ones exactly, but maybe look at the buddypress-home theme and that might help. Once I get in a position to look myself, I might post back later.
I don’t know if Andy really has a complete “picture” of what it will look like. I haven’t heard anything, but that doesn’t surprise me
What would you like to see? From your post, it looks like you could detail out a pretty good solution (in theory) for us all to take a look at and comment. That might make Andy’s decisions easier when he finally gets to it.
@ArmchairGeneral, if you find something that will help with cross browser compatibility, could you create a ticket with your fixes on http://trac.buddypress.org ? Just login with username and password from these forums.

There are some major changes happening to WPMU, so Andy mentions he is waiting until those changes are complete and then release the final alongside WPMU.
Trent
That looks pretty wild! Will test it out later tonight!
Buddypress is just a set of plugins running a set of themes running on WPMU. If you can edit themes in WP, it is pretty easy to add in advertising wherever you see fit.
Trent
If you go into your Dashboard of the main BP and WPMU blog as the “site-admin” you will find the options for Buddypress Profiles to add more options in the “site-admin” menu.
Trent
It means that you are using a plugin that hasn’t been updated with the new changes that are in one of the Sticky’s in this forum! Most plugins were setup to work with the latest Beta release, but if you upgraded past that (which you did), you need to ask the plugin author to update their plugin.
Trent
I see you added the ticket, so I “briefly” commented on it so that your translation went through fine.

Actually, yes! I created a small little plugin to force member login to see member profiles. I was going to put it on groups as well, but my members wanted groups that are public to be just that, public. There is already an option to make a group private anyways.

Photo albums and status updates are going to be integrated into the core, so anything on those lines would be redundant. Privacy, even though I would love some plugins in the short term to handle it better, is also going to be in the core, so that is a bit redundant as well.
I guess my only wishlist up and above some of the ideas here would be BP running with the multi-DB plugin
(Maybe getting replication working as well *cough*)As a premium supporter, we appreciate what you guys do James for the entire suite of communities.

Never actually tried it, but having a wildcard DNS and a wildcard entry in your apache should work with *.sub.domain.com for both entries.
A record for DNS would be: *.sub.domain.com
Apache httpd.conf vhost entry would be: ServerAlias *.sub.domain.com
Trent
You can always request it to Incsub as well (WPMU Experts) that are also designing plugins now for Buddypress if people request them!
Trent
You can always delete the topics through the “bbPress” side, but you can always create and “future enhancement” ticket at https://trac.buddypress.org/timeline for that functionality, even though I am sure it is on the list of things to do at some point.
