you are incorrect.

if you have converted your group based forums to the new site wide forums i believe you can by using a post type switching plugin (i believe forum posts are just custom post types). yeah ok i guess that does present a UX issue but you can’t really delete or even filter other members content because that will cause bigger problems i think. So unless you talking about re-directing to something which is a 404 but you don’t want to come up as a 404 I’m not sure what could be done.

i believe the blog posts are actually handled by wordpress (usually by re-assigning or deleting post by your choice). everything else besides private messages i believe get erased along with the user.

well but wouldn’t that only happen if a user actually mentions the spammer? any activity the spammer themselves made would be removed along with the user. i have never seen anyone mention a spammer.

i don’t think those 404 should be bothering you. if you have open registration then you will invariably get some amount of spam registration. would you rather have google seeing missing pages or seeing the spammy profiles with links that actually could hurt your ranking? 404 errors in WMT are mainly just to alert you the webmaster that they exist.…[Read more]

sorry never used that particular plugin but my understanding is that its very similar to s2.

i don’t know any php and i’ve been using and helping others use buddypress for many years now.

yes but using the terminology you already have, you are really talking about WordPress roles more then Buddypress roles (which actually don’t really exist) some of the functionality you are looking for would probably require something like s2 member to be fully automated the way you describe.

there is only one level of hidden forums in bbpress. there probably is way ago extend that but its way above my pay grade.
