In reply to: System stuck upon Registration
We are not Buddyboss support
In reply to: All pages has gone after slug resetWhat you are repeatedly saying to me is this:
“We did some stuff, it stopped working, read my mind and see how I did that and tell me what I need to do to fix it”
In reply to: All pages has gone after slug resetYou firstly help yourself by providing sufficient information for me to understand exactly what you are talking about.
Let’s just say I’m asking you this question. How would you answer?
In reply to: All pages has gone after slug resetHow did you change the slug?
In reply to: All pages has gone after slug resetI think you’ve probably lost them, unless you can look in the database and find the information there and use that to reconstruct them
I’d contact your theme creator and ask if they will help with the problem. And, to be honest, if they won’t help, I’d either ditch the theme, or create your own theme based on that theme and fix it yourself. There’s quite a few debug tools that might help with this, but if you are not a programmer, and your theme developer will not fix it, there is not really a solution.
In reply to: All pages has gone after slug resetI think the first thing to do is restore the site from your last backup. Is this a slug change you made?
Sounds like it’s your theme then.
In reply to: Plugin installation failedHi there, Have you asked the plugin developers?
In reply to: Registration stopped workingI take it you’ve deactivated all plugins to check it’s definitely BP? I know this can be difficult on a live site
In reply to: You marked my genuine question as spamI was uncertain of an organisation that speaks of charity yet has posts relating to bitcoin, and no real information about their charitable work, without, presumably, joining the site.
In reply to: You marked my genuine question as spamI decided that your site may be potential spam
In reply to: Spam Signups Despite CAPTCHI can recommend this plugin. I get no spam signups and I’ve removed captcha. https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/
I’ve had it installed now for over a year, it’s blocked them all.
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field GroupIt’s not something I know about, me not being their customer. Clearly they have allowed you to install BuddyPress (BP) and there should be some support available.
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field GroupPresumably via your wordpress.com account. Presumably there’s a help section, with access to further support?
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field GroupAh, I see. We don’t support the wordpress.com install, we have no way of knowing how they have configured things, as we all run our own servers, and are not directly part of the team that supports BP on WP.com
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field GroupI’ve not set any member types, my understanding is that although BuddyPress launched the ability to support member types, the ability to create them has to be from a plugin.
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field Groupon my site, profile fields does not lead to anything obvious about user roles
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field GroupIs that link provided by a user roles plugin? I don’t see it one my BP install
In reply to: User Roles issue with Profile Field GroupHi there. is there a question here?
Yes, BP uses the media library, so anything you use to create that storage in WP will be used by BP.
BuddyPress will use any storage the WordPress installation uses.
In reply to: New Member Approval Questionsno worries 🙂 Hope you have a lovely day
In reply to: New Member Approval QuestionsInteresting, the plugin does not interact with notifications, it only allows a user with a different role to have the same rights as admin in the required context. You seem to be saying that it allowed your user to approve the new member. meaning it worked, but then you say no approval email, then BP does not work, but if the user got approved, then BP was working, or something different is not working?
In reply to: New Member Approval QuestionsTake a look at BP Devolved Authority, which is my solution for this
