Age limiting the sign up process

Hello

Does anyone have any ideas how you might go about placing an age limit on a drop down box for the sign up process? I have an ‘additional fields’ form for age as a date selector, however, I would like it so that if a user picks a date less than a certain amount of years they get a warning saying they can’t sign up.

some wordpress plugins work with buddypress, did you search for plugins?

I have had a look, either not put in the correct term or missing it – do you know of any off the top of your head?

I’m having the same issue. I have found “Age Verification” by Mark Jaquith but I need a plugin that verifies the age specifically when a user registers with the website.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Count me in as well, I can’t have anyone under 13 registering, so I need a checkbox or something that confirms they are 13+ at signup..

You could modify the BuddyPress TOS plugin and change that to an Age Verification field.
